Predict the Panthers record - game by game version

Recommended Posts

Yeah I'm a chicken because (like everyone else in the world) I don't care enough about Vegas spreads to bet what they will be.

I'm MORE than willing to bet on actual football games, unlike you. You're predictions are worthless and have zero merit when you won't back up a single game or the overall record either. Have fun with that, I'm tired of arguing with you about irrelevant subjects.

Aparently you do since you made that guarantee about it. Yeah my prediction is worthless....just like everyone else that made a prediction in this thread. Aparently you thought enough of mine to get all worked up over it. I know one thing, if I made a guarantee about something there is no way I wouldnt back it up. :D

So, I've only been a member on this forum for about a week, but I have to say this is by far the most entertaining thread on here so far. Being that I am new to the huddle, I know nobody cares about my opinion, but I thought I could be a mediator of sorts...Here we go:

Post 124, pg 13: RNR made an original bet proposal of the 8.5 spread-this post was pretty much ignored/overseen by Gman

Post 136, pg 14: RNR said "If Sanchez is playing, I can almost guarentee the Panthers will be heavy favorites"

Post 145, pg 15:Gman challenges him to back up this with a bet which RNR declines because of all the side issues such as If Sanchez is starting or not, or if there is injuries, or the determination of a "heavy favorite" is

I believe both have good arguments;however, I believe if there is to be a bet, it should be on whether the panthers get more than 8 wins, since that was the original proposal

all in favor say aye

Re read the thread. The original BET came on page 15 where I bet him the jets would be favored. He countered on page 17 with a completely different bet on a different subject. If Im going to take him up on his then its only fair that he takes me up on the orginal one that I proposed.

That bet had nothing to do with me. He "claims" that he layed this bet down with vegas. I ignored it because it didnt pertain to me. Im the one who made the original bet between us and he turned me down even though he guaranteed it.

Sure let's bet on who Vegas thinks will be the winner, as long as Sanchez is starting, no major injuries and whatever other conditions you wanna add in.

As a side bet, we can bet on who Frank Caliendo thinks will win the NFC South, as long as he is wearing brown pants when he says it.

After re-examining the post (122 not 124), RNR was proposing a bet against the spread, but not against Gman. The original proposal between the two was Gman's bet that Carolina would not be a "heavy favorite." However, to answer Gman's question, considering the logistics of such a bet, it would be near impossible to have a fair bet. So, with that in mind, I still think the bet should be on the over/under, but not on one specific game such as the Saints or Jets. Its a win/win/win......(office reference)

Im more than willing to take him up on his bet too but its only fair that the original bet be honored as well since it was something that he guaranteed and since it was how this whole thing got started. The only one who is holding this up is him. Aparently he doesnt feel confident enough to back it up.

Translation: I'm more than willing ONLY IF a bet happens that will never happen, has already been shown to be completely unfeasible and irrelevant.

Nice cop out...

Why would there be two bets anyway? What is the point in that? One bet has nothing to do with the other one, but you keep using one as an excuse not to do the other. Weak.
