Houston is going to offer Bulls Center Omer Asik 8 million a year.

Also just saw this Chris Broussard tweet..

"Eric Gordon will visit Indiana Sunday, Houston Monday & Phoenix Tuesday. He will also meet with Portland & perhaps Charlotte & Dallas" - He is seeking 4 yr 58 million.

I highly doubt we even offer, but Gordon is one of the best young SG's in the game today and would give us a heck of a core in Kemba/EGordon/MKG/Bismack to go along with BGordon/Hendo/Mullens/Thomas.

If they sign Gordon Hendo is gone.

Rumor is Portland offered Hibbert the max last night. I would expect Indy matches the offer, but if they do its going to hurt a lot of their cap flexibility.

I wish the bobcats would go after Eric Gordon in free agency but I think their trade for Ben Gordon means they will look in another direction.

Ya wow, my opinion of Dwight has changed alot this year. Talk about a spoiled guy, he got his coach fired, played unmotivated this year and is whining about a "blackmail" in his clause. Makes me feel a little better knowing Bismack seems to have his number.

We want Steve Nash to go to Portland so we can get their pick. He would instantly make that team a threat in the West. Also I dont want to sign a big name just yet. Lets let things play out another season.

My dream would be to sign Scott Machado out of Iona and then trade DJ for a future pick. I like Hendo and do not want to move him. He's a good player that will help us move forward.

The Dwight to the Nets trade talks are heating up. I hear Dwight has already asked the Nets to fire Avery Johnson

LOL and then he will get traded to the Lakers. Dwight hasnt won many people over with his antics.

    • Keep my wife’s name out your mouth!
    • Yeah I'm not into college as much, so I admit not to having my own opinion about him coming out. But strictly watching ESPN shows, and going off of commentary at the time..It was a lot more 50/50 even on this board than what people like to remember and admit.  Yes many people had doubts and questions, but MANY people also thought he could possibly be the one. I was only versed enough to know that it was between he and CJ, but most pundits made it sound like either way we had a QB of the future, just different skillsets/traits.
    • Jonathan Mingo to the Cowboys Cowboys receive: WR Jonathan Mingo, 2025 seventh-round pick Panthers receive: 2025 fourth-round pick  Dallas Cowboys: C Leave it to Jerry Jones to wait until after Dak Prescott is injured to go after another receiver. To be fair, the Dallas Cowboys have a real need for the position. CeeDee Lamb is a superstar, but Jalen Tolbert and Brandin Cooks haven't been the needle movers that the Cowboys were hoping for. Making a trade for a receiver wasn't a bad move, but the player that the Cowboys gave up three rounds of value to acquire is questionable. Jonathan Mingo checked a lot of physical and athletic boxes as the 40th-overall pick in 2023. Unfortunately, the 6-foot-2, 220-pound wideout has struggled to be a productive receiver at the NFL level. Some of that has to do with playing for the Carolina Panthers, but Mingo has seriously lacked efficiency at the position. Mingo has yet to record his first NFL touchdown, catching 55 passes for 539 yards. Per TruMedia, he has just 0.74 yards per route run in his career, which ranks 177th out of 186 receivers with at least 50 targets since the start of the 2023 season.Even though Mingo fills a need, that's a lot of value to give up for a receiver that's struggled so much at the NFL level. The good news is that he still has a couple more years on his rookie deal, so at least the Cowboys are getting a cheap developmental project to learn from a star like Lamb. Carolina Panthers: A Instead of trying to hold onto Mingo, the Panthers took what they could get, and that turned out to be way more than expected. Mingo quickly became expendable thanks to the rapid ascension of rookie receiver Xavier Legette. Along with a larger-than-life personality, Legette has hauled in 26 catches for 244 yards and four touchdowns. Three of those touchdowns have come in the last four games, with Legette becoming more and more of a focal point in Carolina's offense. For a team that needs to capitalize as much as possible on draft assets, moving up three rounds in the draft to move on from a disappointing draft pick feels like an absolute win. https://www.the33rdteam.com/nfl-trade-deadline-2024-grading-every-move/
