Coaches Q&A on NFL.com

I like the Bradford analogy, but I am not sure he is quite the runner Vick is. Vick almost has RB ability. Not sure RG is that good. I do know this. If he can stay away from that big hit down field, he has a real chance to be better than mobile. Not sure what I am looking for? He does not seem to have that shiftyness like a RB, but he seems to get yards by the bunches.

No doubt, Griffin isn't as a good a runner as Vick.

There are differences to their game in terms of arm strength, throwing motion, and accuracy to go along with running skill.

One might be better then the other here or there but their skillsets are in the same ballpark and imo Vick is the closet overall comparison.

Truth be told the grace of Griffin's movements; his balance and fluidity remind me of Joe Montana and his throwing motion reminds me of Ken Stabler.

Off course I'm not saying Griffin's overall game is like Joe Montana, only that they both move with a ballett dancers ease.

btw-Griffin is 223 lbs

re:Shanny using him wisely me too, because if Shanny screws him up we'll be looking for a new coach

and my first phone call would rhyme with Bob Donzinski

I've compared him to Steve young both in skill and smarts. RG3 seems like a highly intelligent individual along with his world class athleticism. Say what you will about Shanny but he's never screwed up a quarterback.

Oh i'm sure they mentioned him as well as other quarterbacks around the NFL. But Cams not the reason Washington drafted RG3. I'm sure if they had the 1st over all pick they would have drafted Luck. As any team would.

But I think RG3 will have more success than Luck, so either way, you guys "Lucked'' out. But I have to disagree about Shanahan not taking RG3 because of Cam, I think it might have had a fraction of the decision of pulling the trigger on RG3, I mean the Skins gave up a lot to get him, and Shanahan probably seen the success that we had with Cam, and wanted to replicate Carolina in away, It is a copy cat league, and RG3 has a leg up, as coming into the league as a more polished passer than Cam did coming out of college. So IMO, Shannahn is probably thinking, RG3 is a more accurate passer, just as strong arm, and is faster than Cam.

More like the Redskins needed a quarterback, a franchise quarterback in fact. They couldn't reach Luck so they went with the next best thing. I believe both will be outstanding for years to come. There was a moment before the trade that the Redskins were interested in Brandon Weeden. Make no mistake, Washington was drafting a quarterback Cam or no Cam, trade or no trade.

Remember they were in the Manning hunt as well.

Yeah Beck and Grossman were so inconsistent from game to game. You guys needed a stud at the QB position, and you guys added some talent to a already good team IMO. Your DEF is good, and you got weapons on offense, just need a QB that can put up points consistently. You guys might be a year away, but anything can happen in that DIV. WIsh y'all luck next year, except when we play y'all LOL.....

For your sake I hope your wife doesn't glance at that post.

;)

Wife jokes are the staple of my routine! You take them out of the equation and you might just as well shut down the show. Would you stifle Henny? JK (I actually heard a remake of my favorite Hennyism. "My wife loves to talk to me during sex. Last night she called me from a motel." badabing. It was on tv, but I can't remember what.)

She's a good egg. As long as I don't insult her, she is pretty cool with it. She has to be. In public, I never shut up. My brain can't keep up with all the tangents, so my mouth gets me in trouble. You would think with as much experience I have, I would have mastered this art by now. But sadly, no.

Thanks, i also believe the team is pretty solid from top to bottom. Quarterback play has held Washington back for years now. Hopefully RG3 will be the savior lol. I wish the Panthers well i really do. They are the local team and i do hope they find some success along with the Bobcats.

Homer alert! Man I thought I was bad. You sir. I am speechless! Except for that world class athleticism thingy. Or maybe that Shanny is a QB Zod. Both are embellishment at its finest. We all know pretty much what you have. And you have to agree that those statements are a tad over the top? But hey, I understand. Homerz gotta homer.

Oh yeah how so? RG3 is very intelligent and i see a lot of Steve Young in his play. Other than the left handed thing. Seriously, what quarterback has Shanny screwed up?

Shannahan is a washed up coach. Everyone, except moron Redskin fans, know this.

As far as your stupid what QB has he screwed up argument, Shannahan was fortunate enough to be blessed with a good situation in Denver.

When you say blessed you mean grooming Elway for greatness, putting Griese in the pro-bowl, handing Plummer his best seasons as a quarterback, Drafting and grooming Cutler??
