Man, I used to work outside all the time. I'd always hear people complain about the weather, being hot and all that. I'm used to the heat, what I hate is the bugs. I absolutely hate bugs so much. Give me all the heat in the world but keep the bugs away from me.

It got to 113 today, Tomorrow may be cooler, 108 I hear. I hope so.

It's the A/C, bro. I purposely never set my A/C below 76 this spring and early summer for that reason. Not because I'm cheap... I had it set to 68-70 all of last summer. Being outside for more than a few minutes at a time was rough on me a year ago.

I'm still too spoiled to turn off the A/C and open the windows while driving, though. I'm working on it.

Agreed, you get used to the heat when youre outside all day. You dont get used to looking down and seeing ticks crawling all over your legs

The high pressure system over Texas finially moved on, so it cooled off a few degrees.

I'll never get use to tbe heat.

When the window unit in the living room died last summer, I replaced it with the biggest window unit that would fit. I call it, the Arctic Breeze.

Played 18 in myrtle yesterday and lost 30 pounds of water weight

You are crazy... my dad and I gave up our Sunday morning round this week... I called him Saturday night and said "you wanna play?", he said, "no, do you?" I said no way.. we stayed indoors. Much, much cooler here today, big storms went thru last night.

On the discussion on page one, I'd much rather it be extremely hot than extremely cold. I hate cold weather and I'm always miserable when it's cold. I know that you can put more clothes on but I can't ever seem to get warm when it's cold and at least if it's really hot you can hit the pool...

Running in this heat is fantastic. Very cleansing and satisfying to sweat out a couple of miles when it's sweltering out.

I was on the lake all day Saturday..had no problem at all...I guess I took advantage of the water and nice breeze

So at 11 a/m yesterday, I decided that it was a fantastic idea to go run/walk...get some exercise

I run 1.5 miles and I start to walk because I don't want to overheat...so I'm walking normally..stopping quite regularly to rest underneath shade..it's too late..my body is extremely pissed off at this point..my left arm starts to tingle ..at this point I am stopping at every other tree hiding under the trees....sitting down for a few mintues...I can't catch my breath even though I'm not even walking fast whatsoever.. Im still a mile away from my car so I get up and go walk to the next big tree to sit under (i now understand the expression, "So close, yet so far away"..I get underneath the tree and now my right arm is numb..i can't feel my hands either..I'm hyperventilating/crying at this point...I pull my phone out and call my husband to come get me b/c at this point I know I'm about to pass out. My phone rings a minute later and it's my husband freaking out b/c he couldn't understand me at all when I called him 2 seconds ago trying to tell him where I was...I could've sworn "I'm on park rd at the entrance to South Meck" came out clear as a bell...Guess not..next thing I know I hear honking and there's a car pulled over on the side of the road. I guess I flagged down the cars at the light for help or I just looked like I was about to die.... so I stumble over there and this nice lady lets me in her car and I'm basically laying on her dash trying to suck in as much of her a/c as possible..trying not to pass out

I'm not sure how many times I thanked this woman..but I know it was a lot...I also know the words "holy f*cking sh*t, I can't feel anything!!" came out of my mouth a lot too......Had she not stopped to help me, I would've definitely passed out and my husband would've found me unconscious underneath that tree...It took 15 mintues for all of that to start by the way..It's not like I was outside frolicking for an hour

anyhoo....I was a complete dumbass and I will now only run before work at 6a/m..I'm very lucky ...I knew there was a reason why I run in populated areas and streets

Moral of this story... don't go running when it's 120 out... glad you're OK mpf.

I know..It was stupid.. trust me...I don't think I've ever been that scared in my life

The problem with this weather wasn't so much the heat, but the humidity... when you sweat in humidity like that, it doesn't evaporate and cool you so you overheat rapidly. I went walking Saturday and Sunday at 6:30 AM and it was only 80* out, but I was drenched by the time I got home... I can't imagine going out in it once it got up past like 95.

It is significantly cooler here today and less humid.
