Panthers schedule looks tough now, but will it actually be?

Why should the NFCE be tough?

Dallas - God awful defense with little to no draft or new FAs to help bolster it. They are now TOless and romo has yet to be tested without him.

Washington - Is anyone afraid of the redskins? Really? Probably the blandest team in the NFL with little to explosive playmakers. They will probably have a mediocre defense and Portis will have another grind-it out solid year, but nothing spectacular. Oh yea... they don't have a good QB.

Philly - Consistently inconsistent. They tied to the BENGALS last year... they didn't even have the decency in them to lose! Yes we could face the eagles team that looks utterly unstoppable, but we could also face the eagles team that looks extremely vanilla. I also expect their defense to take a slight dive, mostly because of the loss of dawkins.

New Yawrk - Really good team, really deep in the trenches. Easily the best team in the division, but we proved last year we are ABLE to beat them. If it's very possible for our team to take down the giants, i dont see how we can feel anymore threatened by the other NFCE teams.

seriously guys, the toughest dudes we have to face are from our own division. Each team is relatively tougher than their counterpart. Call the pats and giants equal to us (even though in reality they probably are better by a bit), atlanta is better than miami and philly. NO is better than the jets and 'boys. TB will prolly be better than washington or buffalo.

1. Dallas - Um, that "God awful" defense was ranked 8th in the league last year and the panthers was only 18th. Ever heard of Igor Olshansky? Pretty damn good defensive lineman that they signed. I dont recall, how many FAs did the panthers sign again? The cowboys will better by subtraction (TO) more than by addition. They're probably the 4th best team in the East but are still pretty good.

2. Washington - Um yeah, Im pretty afraid of that defense. They were the 4th best defense in the league last year and just got even better with Haynesworth (maybe you've heard of him?) and Brian Arakpo. They had alot of injuries on offense last year. Had they stayed relatively healthy the probably would have been a playoff team.

3. Philadelphia - Consistenly inconsistent? Really? You mean having the most playoff experience over the last decade of any team and having the 4th highest win total over that span is inconsistent? Then what are the panthers? Pathetic? Dawkins was a great leader but he is no longer a great player. They werent the 3rd best defense in the league because of him. He was only a small piece. One that can be replaced. And as I recall this team was nearly in the super bowl last year. So who cares that they tied with the bengals?

4. Yeah we can beat the Giants. And they can beat us and they did. What was your point?

No one is saying we cant compete with the NFC East. But its pretty stupid to over look them too.

The talent is too good in the NFL, from top to bottom. Even Detroit is a pretty good team. Everybody has a hard schedule so I don't buy into the hard/easy schedule at all. That just something ESPN and other say and talk about to seem more important.

The stats show that it's an . Are you dense or something?

I am saying the stats predicted Steelers would have the toughest..Schedule and they did..so the level of uncertainty is not that high..We will have a tough schedule..Now what don’t you get about that.

vs. Philadelphia Eagles - Philly has a Super Bowl contending team, but we catch them at a great time...first week...anything can happen...and we're home.

at Atlanta Falcons - Again a great time to go to Atlanta, get it out of the way early.

at Dallas Cowboys - Dallas, please.

Bye

vs. Washington Redskins - They could be good, not great. We should beat Washington.

at Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Another division rival, away, early. It's good to save up those crucial late week home games, especially within this home-field advantage heavy division...

vs. Buffalo Bills - Buffalo has a great looking offense, but can be contained. I watched almost every Bills game last year and they just aren't anything to sweat about.

at Arizona Cardinals - Tough game, could be the toughest so far. We'll be Ready for the rematch can guarantee that.

at New Orleans Saints - Domes are tough to play in, but we play well in New Orleans.

vs. Atlanta Falcons - Should be a great one.

vs. Miami Dolphins - Chad Pennington? Beatable, plain and simple. Not to mention it's at THE VAULT

at New York Jets - Sanchez? We'll see...Jenkins will be pumped, and they have a tough D...this game is going to be a good one.

vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Good to have Home divisional game late.

at New England Patriots - You're gonna have to play a tough one like this every year.

vs. Minnesota Vikings - Brett Favre...lol

at New York Giants - You're gonna have to play a tough one like this every year, this year we have two.

vs. New Orleans Saints - Close out at home.

To be the best, you must beat the best

We are an NFL franchise and we can beat anyone on any given Sunday

If we have a great record- major much deserved kudos to us

to me this is an incredibly exciting year. the fights are going to be big. i am confident that we will be able to hold our own against the best teams in the NFL. if we come out of this with a winning record and can go into the playoffs... there is very little reason to believe that we can't have a run like the steelers last year. it may get ugly but it doesn't matter how it looks as long as we come out on top.

Lets not forget the Falcons, Saints and Bucs have to play all these teams too.

Our division winner could have a similar record to what the Cards had last year and they went all the way.

Except the saints get two gimmie games against the rams and lions and the panthers have to play the vikings and cardinals. That is going to play a big role in the division race next year.

My eyes will be locked on the field every second....

If the Rams can fix thier line, that game wont be a given.
