Panthers O-line vs. Skins D-line

skins got philip daniels back, limited pass rusher from DE,but he's a bull against the run. him and otah going at in a run situation would be fun to watch, otah would eat him up in pass blocking though.

this is what the skins base set looked like in mini-camp

RE-Andre Carter-after a 10 sack season in 07 his sack numbers dropped to 4 in 08. he still chased the QB around, but was always a half step late.skins DT's didn't help him out in 08 either...

DT-Albert Haynesworth

DT-Cornelius Griffin (good run defender, decent pass rusher)

LE-Philip Daniels(really good run defender)

ROLB-Rocky McIntosh

MLB-London Fletch

LOLB-Brian Orakpo

said orakpo was at RE in the nickle set during minicamp. I imagine the 3rd down/nickle would be

RE-Brian Orakpo

DT-Albert Haynesworth

DT-Lorenzo alexander (275 pound DT/DE tweener)

LE-Andre Carter

Rocky Mc&Fletcher at LB

It should be interesting to see the Carolina O-line (top ten in the league, maybe top 5) going against some of the best Dlines in the league. It will sure make for a good trench battle at least.

if jeremy bridges can isn't a revolving door, and gets a starting job. the skins OL could be in some decent shape.

LT-Chris Samuels-one of the best

LG-Derrick Dockery-can be a good guard, had a down year in 08,I'd attribute it to the bills LT troubles, and peters playing poorly.

C-Rabach is solid, the fickle skins fans don't like him because he can't block the NFL's better DT's 1-1 but not many centers can to begin with...

RG-Randy Thomas-old solid vet. was a pro bowl alternate while playing with a herniated disc. don't know what to expect since he had surgery for it. could be better could be worse...?

RT-?

I'd say when an O-line can have solid or better guys at each position,it sort of galvanizes them. it's tough to find teams were you can point out each OL and not find a weak link in the 5.

You won't have an issue running on the Skins, as a Giants fan I love your guys line...like ours it is stacked full of crushing run blockers. Haynesworth is gonna be good this year but he won't be near as dominant in the NFC east. The east has very large interior lines inlcuding Gurode who is going to REALLY want some revenge and arguably the best guard in the game in Chris Snee. Last year in our game Tuck had the flu, Robbins had shoulder issues and our whole line was heavily fatigued and starting to break down due to lack of depth, which really wont be a problem this year.

That being said you guys will still run on us, i'm going to guess a little over 100 yards...nothing drastic and we wont be running all over you guys either. It will be another great game but look at us sitting on Jake Delhomme atleast once ;). The strength to our d line is the pass rush which is our bread and butter, Sheridan our D coord already came out and said our ends will not be dropping into pass coverage and on passing downs our line will look like this..

Osi Canty Tuck Kiwi.
