the thing about jumping rope is you can mix it up with anything.   pushups, mountain climbers, pull ups, curls, whatever is handy.

if you really want to burn fat, and you're already in good shape, try 30 seconds on the rope, 30 seconds of mountain climbers, a 30 yard sprint followed by a 30 second rest until you throw up.   shouldn't take more than 10 times.   i still can't get through but about 6 of those and i'm done.

Jumping rope is good but eventually you will get to a place where you barely break a sweat while doing it.

A running entry.

Its getting really hot outside. I ran about 4 miles yesterday and the heat/humidity combo damn near killed me. Cross training today at the gym.

Training for the marathon begins in about 3 weeks.

I've really slacked off the past 2 months with my wife being pregnant and now a newborn in the house. I am doing the 1200 calorie a day thing to drop the extra lbs I picked up then hitting the gym again. Will take two months to get back to wear I was. Getting off your routine sucks.

That guy on that Extreme Weightloss show on ABC we watched last night said anything less than 1500-1800 calories per day is not good for a grown man, so be careful with that Zod.

The kid on there last night went from 410 to 193 in 1 year.

I usually stay around 2200-2500 calories per day... when I'm lifting I'm constantly starving, it's hard not to eat.

Diet is by far the hardest part of being healthy.
