I was going to ask if you threw in an occasional cheat meal. These will keep your body out of starvation mode. Tracking your caloric intake and macro nutrients might help. Unfortunately men store fat in their torso first and lose it there last. Putting on muscle will help, to a point. Unless you are new to training, it is almost impossible to lose fat and put on muscle.

Your body strives for homeostasis, which will cause you to eventually flatline / reach your plateau.

Changing your routines up can help combat that situation (to an extent). Think of it as P90X muscle confusion on a macro scale.

Yeah I tooled around with P90x at home so I'm used to the intervals. Joining the gym will give me some more motivation to actually work out when I get distracted at the apartment.

I followed Biscuit's shoulder workout at the gym today and I definately feel it. Hopefully this change of pace will spark something.

I know the muscle gain wont really do much for the belly flab, but hopefully some new chest and shoulder exercises can help tighten up my upper body. Staying this way for much longer may have to lead to some calorie crunching and better portion control.

Joscott is a tall guy, and mostly pretty lean. If he hits the weights and eats decent he'll put muscle on pretty easily I think. Any extra flab will go pretty quickly if he hits the gym as hard as we did yesterday regularly, buy didn't look to me like he's got that much to lose.

I try to change my routine up as well, but its easy to get into a rutt.

ok, weight loss update, I've lost 12 pounds now from may 10, till which is June 9, combo of dieting and a lot of cardio, I need to start doing more weights very soon, and also start running further distances(been running only 2-3 miles a day so far).

Currently I need to drop 16 more pounds to hit my first goal for weight loss 180, I really don't need to get lighter then that though, I'm tall with a big frame so anything less then 180 and I start looking anorexic, people thought I was looking a little too thin when I was at 170 last, I dropped weight but with that said I felt great at 170, better then ever, but I need to start building muscle especially with my arms and torso.

How tall are you? Im looking to get down to 180 myself and have 7 more lbs to go. Havent decided if i want to bulk back up after though. When i was 24-25 i was working out super hard and was up to around 215-220 before i hurt my shoulder. Not sure my 28 year old body can take the abuse to get that big again lol.

I start tennis class today. I'm not sure how much of a workout it will be. I think I'll wear my heart rate monitor. I am excited about learning how to play though.

I've been doing Isanity workouts still. I can't stop!! But I've added Brazilian Butt lift from Beachbody into the mix. It's OK, not sure it's doing much compared to insanity. The tummy tuck workout for the abs is pretty good, it hurts like a fuging crazy though. I've notice a new line on my abs pop up since I started it.
