I would say go heavier on those squats. Women tend to have lots of natural strength potential in the quads and butt.

More weight also makes the squat movement less about balance.

A good goal for any woman is to be able to squat at least 3/4 of their body weight.

I'm not really wanting to look like the lady in the top pick. Don't get me wrong she is attracitve it's just not my thing. 

 
 
Thanks for the tips. I use to lift more while doing squats when I went to the gym. I don't know why I've never really uped my weight doing squats however my workouts are more fast paced and higher reps. I'll do a few extra sets of squats after my workout with 40lbs. and see how the ol knees hold up.

Quite a few guys in my gym dead and squat in socks.

For deads it let's you lift the bar about 1 inch less from the ground.

I've never done a dead lift before but id like to. They look pretty difficult. I wouldn't really know where to start.
