Weighed in this morning and woah. I'm down way too much. Really need to alter my diet plan and start eating more. I've been so focused on losing my beer gut for about 4 months now that I've neglected muscle mass. Think I've finally reached the point where I'm not afraid to eat a little more since in also lifting more now.

Did deadlifts today and concentrated on proper form and keeping my ass out. Could only go up to 275 today but honestly I think part of that is because my shins are so sore from jump roping. The pressure of lifting was re-aggravating my legs and I think it held me back.

I'm obsessed with jumping rope now but I need to give it some days off before I get a stress fracture. I've been going at it almost every day. Yesterday I started running down my street while jumping rope. It was a good workout but my shins were in so much pain I had to lay down for about 40 mins and take an ibuprofen.

yeah definitely do not jump rope on concrete if you can help it :

wooden decks are great, something with a little flex that gives back

This is true. I've been trying to avoid concrete where possible. My gym's basketball courts are wood floor so I use it a lot. I've also started jumping rope in the weight room when there aren't a lot of people around and I have plenty of space. The mats in their are much more forgiving on my ankles.

saw that and came straight here to post it

It could be the smartest shirt on the planet.

Packed with sensors, the new Omsignal shirt has health sensors sewn into its fabric to constantly monitor the wearer.

It can track heart rate, breathing rate, breathing volume, movement (including steps and cadence), movement intensity, heart rate variability and calories burned.
