Damn it all...

Deadlifts yesterday...  5th set, 405.  Was on the 4th rep and felt something pull in my back.

Strained an intercostal muscle about mid back on the right hand side... I hate this poo.  Done it before doing shoulder shrugs...  Argh.

Hurts to breathe.

I just got back from the gym. I was doing squats and lost my balance, but I caught myself. I finished my workout, but I bet this is going to hurt tomorrow.

Tweak your back?

About a month ago, I was taking the bar off the rack to do squats and when I stepped back I think I let my weight shift a little too much to one leg and it hurt my back a bit...  I've been much more careful with that since...

were you able to sleep ok?

I've seen people do this and wear a knee wrap around themselves for a few weeks.

Is this not making you sore?

Not really surprisingly enough.  I've been doing some running and sit ups on my days off and the running has made me horribly sore.  You were definitely right Biscuit, 100 consecutive push ups are no joke.  Based on how I felt today I'm calling 75.

Took yesterday off and ate pizza. I feel like a fat piece of garbage today.. Gotta get my diet in check. I don't have any issue motivating myself to work out... Turning down delicious food is a struggle though. Anyone have any advice?

Any type of food tracker helps a lot.  You know what you can eat--calories out have to be greater than calories in.  If you log all your food, and you know what your body needs to maintain, then wasting a ton of calories on pizza will make you feel disgusted with yourself as you are doing it.  That's the way it worked for me.  You have to be religious about it, though.  Fitbit is my choice.

Did 304 push ups today over about a 3 hour period while at the office.  My 100 consecutive push up test comes Saturday or Sunday, which ever day I feel the  best.  Not feeling optimistic about this.

Nice!  Starting tomorrow I'm increasing to 250 pushups instead of my 200.  That'll be 250 x 3 for 750 for the week, plus my chest day on Monday.

Good luck on that 100 consecutive.  I bet your shoulder and triceps are RIPPED.
