Yeah I don't get that, I couldn't watch a tv show and or listen to a book or podcast while doing cardio. I'm way too out of breathe, heart rate around 180 the whole time, can't process much else.

If I don't do something to make my brain zone out a little, I get insanely bored and start counting down the minute, miles, whatever thus making it feel way longer. I do mix up my cardio too, I run, hit the elliptical, and use Jacob's ladder.

I feel the same about running... I just do not enjoy it and it is so hard on my knees.

Cardio in general is just so boring... I'm trying to switch it up... do the bike one day, stair climber one day, elliptical the next, etc... still boring.

Running is what help me cut weight the fastest when I slimming down to nothing to start fresh.

But I've recently had a change in plans and have decided to bulk up again. Plus it's helps with me job if I'm bigger.

But anyway, I don't have great knees to begin with and I ran the other day to sweat out some alcohol and for the last few weeks I've had to tape my knees. I'm 26 and walking around the gym with tape on my knees to hold them in place lol! I swear I have the body of an 80 year old man.

But I've been going heavy again, and I've already put on about 20 pounds slowly since Xmas. I have a thicker build so it's easy for me to gain good weight as long as it's good calories I'm putting into my body. Starting benching again last week for the first time in forever. Going for 315 a few times today, pretty pumped to get there and do this. Miss benching, but had to stop because my chest seems to grow faster than all my other muscles.

I guess I'm one of the few who actually LOVES cardio. I have a blast doing cardio workouts. I don't like running or walking but I love jumping around, throwing punches, push ups, squats, etc all at a fast pace. I also love biking and playing tennis.

yeah, when you're doing fast paced calisthenics, the mind games are easier to deal with.

But say you're on a 5 mile run. You get bored, your mind starts making you think you can't breathe, and self-doubt starts setting in.

I usually end up singing to myself to help keep pace and help keep my breathing slow.

You would not believe the crazy poo that has run through my head during a long run.

Have you tried the gloves without finger tips or eco ball?

I refuse to wear gloves, just a personal preference thingy. But I'm just gunna bring chalk in next time, not like ill make a mess so it shouldn't be a big deal.

But I got 315 up 3 times... its a good start!

I did 178 push  ups today.

The workout was 7 sets (18,20,22,18,28,26,46).

I was unable to do the last set of 46 so I had to do two sets of 23 instead but completed all required.  My final test of 100 consecutive comes about Friday of next week.  I'll let you guys know if I make the 100 or not.

I'm not sitting here thinking it will be easy that's for sure.  I'm not doing any other lifting while doing this so that helps.  Just sit ups, push ups and running while alternating days.

Oh and I bet if I do get a hundred those last 20 or so might be suspect.  Did I go down far enough for it to count?

How long do you wait in between sets?

It has me waiting about 90 seconds. Its brutal at this point.

sorry if you already said, but what's the name of the app?

90 seconds rest - sounds tough but I think its doable. are they all regular push-ups or do you change them up?
