10K in 40 minutes? Getting in a 5K in sub-20 time is booking it. You want to double the distance and keep the same pace? Might want to set some goals in between now and then.

10k in 40 minutes is some serious running.

Try swimming and going out west to run the rockies. run a 10k at 10k+ feet; 40 minutes will feel like a light jog.

I'm shooting for next year. I tried to do it last yeah but I tore up my calf while training which set me back a several months. The frustration and rage of not being able to train was quelled by me smoking again (I know, insanely stupid). Not that I'm healed and smoke free, it's time to get serious again.

I will have use of a pool in a month or so, but the Rockies are not an option. I'll probably shoot for spending an hour 3 to 4 times a week doing laps. I know its a daunting task, but if we just shoot for easy goals, what have we accomplished.

I settled on hemavol.  I've heard a good amount of buzz about it before, mostly from stim junkies that like to stack it with their stim-based pre.  We'll see how it goes.  Can't wait.  I've been off of creatine for a while, so it's been a while since I've felt a nice pump.

I'm currently off creatine.  I'll probably do one more month of it before summer.

Went a little overboard with the diet last night.

Celebrated the opening of LKN Brewing Company last night at their taproom.  Two beers.

Ate at McCormick and Shmick's in Charlotte and drank more.  Two Kentucky Smashes, and an Irish Coffee with a sidecar of Jameson.  Had stuff salmon, but still . . .

Now I'm having a Dunkin' Donuts coffee to get my body moving today.

I'm gonna scale back my diet this week to balance that out.  Feel like poo right now [mentally and physically].

Im not looking to be hulk but anybody got any idea how to beat the boredom of a work out?

Im in a rut of only cardio 2 or 3 days a week. Haven't played any sports since Nov.

Maybe since its getting warmer I can ride my bike at hit the whitewater center.

Just need some ideas.

Lifting won't make you huge unless you're diet matches that effort.  If you want to pack on muscle you have to eat 500ish more calories than you consume. Lifting might be a good way to break up the monotony of your cardio efforts. What is your workout environment? Home equipment, gym, or outdoor running?
