I go to Planet Fitness simply because it's cheap and three minutes from my house. For $10 a month I can do without deadlift.

It does get crowded around the free weights on week nights and the "lunk alarm" is the dumbest thing ever, but it's not a big issue.

I also work out with a personal trainer once a week so PF is sort of like a supplement to keep me busy between those butt-kicking sessions.

I went to PF with my BIL a few times. The lunk alarm and warning was the first thing I noticed. I decided to look for some free weights so I could test it out. There were none.

Not sure if anyone is in Greensboro. There is a gym called Workout Anytime. It is 15 bucks a month and open 24/7. They have trainers there during the day, in unmanned hours the door is lock and you use your membership card to swipe and let you in. They have no good equipment in there from cario, machine weights to free weights. Never too crowed and by having a membership, you get discounts at other places. I joined in January and I am trying to lose at least 30 lbs, wish me luck

I know the CEO/Co-owner of Workout Anytime. He's a good guy and has been in the business for a long time. He keeps trying to get me to buy into setting up a gym, but I'm having trouble finding an adequate location. Good luck getting back into shape, dead lifts or not.

Sunday I went to play some b-ball with a neighbor at the local open gym.  Had a pick up game, 3 on 3.  Thank god I've been running 3 miles every other day.  I wasn't out of breath or sweating profusely but after an hour I could tell I was using muscles I don't work out enough. That and I've got a massive (like two silver dollars side by side) blister on the ball of my foot where I was having to plant my foot.  I held my own for not having played in months but it was definitely a punch in the gut that despite running all over god creation i'm still out of shape.

I need it to be 75 degrees again.  It is hard to get motivated to work out or run but its even harder when its cold as hell outside.

Has anyone ever tried Cellucor C4 EXTREME?  I have experimented with pre-workout mixes in the past, and my initial takeaway from using this product is that it is really effective.  Gives you a disconcerting tingle once it's digested [about 20 minutes] that lasts for about 10 minutes.  I'm guessing that will go away as I get used to it, though.  No jitters or crashing afterward.  Definitely pushed through today with no problems; even ran an extra mile.

Yep... C4 is good but I build up a tolerance quickly.

After about two weeks I need two scoops.

C4 used to be my pre of choice, but the last time I went through a tub, I didn't get a pump like I used to. I'm going to have to change it back up next time I go on one. But yeah, when it worked it worked really well.

I strained something in my upper forearm about two weeks ago, and it's been really swore, slowing me down in my workouts. I fear I may have to take some time off from my arms, which sucks because they are finally getting some definition I wanted. Bought a tennis elbow strap to keep some compression on it for a while.

In good news, I also picked up a sweet under armor smedium t-shirt today. Looks good...maybe I can get Biscuit to take some pics I can post it the next time I wear it. I've been banned from taking selfies at my gym.
