Well 6'3 with a 6'8 wingspan... I bet you look funny in the gym.

Seriously, benching 225 is decent with such a long wingspan. Are you trying to increase your max, or are you trying to increase the reps? You can certainly do both, but what is your goal?

Your D/L is impressive. If squats hurt your knees, then your form is most likely off. There will be some pressure, but not enough to make you think knee injury.

Curling... Well I've never really mastered curls - I get the whole body sway thing going. If you're talking preacher curls or wrist curls, 80 lbs is definitely respectable.

As far as my bench I kinda wanna increase my max and reps. I wanna be able to throw up 315 at least 5 times. My max 1 rep fro bench is 275 But I never max out. Its just weird seeing my buddy who's 5'8 and weighs 170 throw up 225 more than me. I really don't care or put stock in everyone else or how much weight I'm lifting but I feel as if I should be doing more.

Squats don't hurt me knees. I've never had pain at all with them. I just have always taken it easy with them tho. I play basketball a lot and I have some clicking going on in my knees every now and then. So I just don't squat heavy. But I guarantee my squatting form is bad bc I'm long and I have to take a wider stance bc my long legs.

My curling is alright I guess but I just need to work on it. I worked out with a guy who was about 40. He was like 5'7 but he was ripped and absolutely strong as hell. He couldn't have weighed over 160. The dude squats 315 no problem. And his deadlft is crazy. I watched it once and he had like 4-5 plates on each side. But anyways he talked to me about my biceps once. He was defineltly a character and seemed like a philosopher. He showed me a way to curl with 20lb dumbells. I kinda chuckled. He's like I'm serious. I tried it and it was the best bicep workout I've ever had. The dude knew his poo.

Crazy thing is tho I knew he wasnt on roids. His physique was small he was just lean and strong as hell.

I've stated multiple times in this thread alone, it's not the weight, it's the form.  You can get a hell of a workout with lighter weights if you keep strict form and do the exercises correctly.

Just started on Creatine SixStar-MuscleTech. Fruit Punch.

Anybody have any experience with it?

The taste is much better than I expected.

I've taken that... it's fine... creatine is creatine pretty much.  It definitely works.

like the biscuit said, form comes first. secondly is core strength. mitigate the looong stroke as much as possible with a solid core. have your body balance the weight while your limbs worry about the rep (which gets back to form...)

But when it comes to power lifting, I'm not the guy to answer those questions. I did it when I was younger and I keep saying I'm going to get back into it, but I'm not ready.

I can offer advice on increasing reps, which in theory would eventually increase your max. It's probably nothing you didn't already know, and it's a long slow process.

I do hard leg days and my legs are still pretty tiny. :(

So what's the consensus on new years people doing crazy things at the gym?  Stop them before they hurt themselves/others or let them be?  Saw some things today that made me fear for my safety.

Let 'em be... gym staff can help them if necessary... unless she's hot... then help away... :)

I try to help out if I see they're trying.

Everybody had to start somewhere

Yeah, yeah... me too... depends on their attitude or if they appear likely to hurt themselves.

Two guys in there the other day doing bench... they were apparently doing some sort of reverse pyramid thing on bench...

I've seen 'em before trying to get 315 and failing miserably.... well the other day they had 275 on, the one guy did one rep and got about half way up and couldn't get it... his "spotter" grabs the bar with one hand and then the right side gets caught on the benches rack and the bar goes up on the other side and the weights start sliding off...   at this point the "spotter" grabs it with both hands with a horrified look on his face and yanks it up (it's still caught) and the weights continue to slide...

He realized in was hung just in time and got it re-racked before the plates slipped off...  they were both freaked out...  I watched the entire thing and just shook my head.

They continued on with their whack ass 1 rep bench press then did some bicep curls...
