Having issues with a home builder

Met my builder today and he said he was told that these houses have to be build by D R Horton fiscal year end which is Sept 31st. It just happened they started working on my house last. Dry Wall orientation is in 3 weeks.

They are trying to get the costs and closures into their fiscal year....not surprising.

They publicly traded, before 2008 D R Horton stock was $40 a share but after 2008 it dropped to $4 a share. Right now its about $12 a shares and growing. They def have their reasons.

Everything is about the quarter-end and year-end for a publically traded company. That is the life that I live at work as well.

I'm in a private sector and my month-end is still a bitch. My fiancé works for public company and she's at work from 6am to 11pm first week of close. Crazy...

Ouch. My girlfriend is an accountant for a company with 400,000 employees and her close weeks are longer than normal weeks, but nothing close to that.
