Thanks for a compliments guys. I have a few more that I will post here this morning.... I took a TON of them but not all of them are interesting.

It's the offseason. Trust me, the bar for "interesting" is set pretty low at this point

without pads on its kinda hard to really get a solid firm block on someone unless its a straight shot. looks mostly like some material grabbing too, no limbs being pulled around.

On another note if Norman is even able to cover smith in pads occasionally, then he'll be WAY more than we asked for in a 5th round corner.

Is Hardy our biggest non-DT defender right now? He seems to dwarf even the linebackers...

Without pads, it's hard to do (and judge) a lot of things.

As to Hardy, if it's true that he's up to 299, the answer is yes. Ryan Van Bergen is listed at 290. Everyone else is 275 or less. DTs start at around 295 (Neblett and Nate Chandler).

I would certainly hope that a DE is the biggest defender on a defense other than DTs. When would or has this not been the case?

Looks like Norman got inside position on Smith in the one shot.

Can't tell if Smith grabbed him from the pics, but immediately after he's doing the whole hands-up "I didn't do it" bit (half the time that draws a flag)

I think I remember that play.

    • i'm quite happy with this draft, especially after hitting all the stuff we did in the offseason leading up to the draft.  bringing in moering, bobby brown, and wharton was huge for us. so was dowdle. i think that set us up quite nicely for the draft.  i think tmac will be a really good target for bryce. same with mitchell. we've got a good WR room right now with a ton of potential. i REALLY like the TE room right now. RBs looks good now as well.  i think that defense is going to be a lot better next year as well. we added a lot of beef to the DL and a lot of boom to safety...all of it geared towards shutting down the run game. the last few weeks our pass rush was getting to the QB quite a bit and giving them a rough time. i think there was already a lot of momentum to build on there. it was just the run game that kept killing us. looks like we got that fixed.
    • Eh, I don't think anyone can reasonably accuse me of wanting Bryce gone anymore and I wanted to develop a back up QB, but the total roster is more important. Just the way our holes have been patched it didn't work out well. Part of my desire is because we've got a QB guru has HC... But next year's QB class is supposed to be so, so much better, so that'll be a time to snag a backup.
