Freeman's (dis)honorable mentions for the jerks list...

Not sure how Jerry Jones, Dan Snyder and Mike Brown escaped being mentioned here (maybe he just skipped owners altogether). I'd likely have given Tom Brady some consideration too.

Toms more of a douche than a jerk. I honestly think he's lost his passion for the game and would be happier prancing down the runways and red carpets.

If you follow the Panthers on twitter you can tell some of the guys are dogs. They are always talking about "side girls" and changing phone numbers.

Travelle Wharton and Jordan Gross are decent guys from what I know. Ricky Proehl was great when I met him. Deangelo comes across as a nice guy although he wouldn't sign my hat a training camp once. Jake Delhomme and John Kasay are the two nicest Panthers I have ever met. Ryan Kalil was very nice to me as well. Thomas Davis has always been great.

Julius Peppers is probably the oddest Panther I've met. He signed my 90 jersey but didn't say a word. Nothing rude, nothing nice. I've heard he's just not comfortable in public. Armanti Edwards was similar. Just very quiet and shy for someone that plays in front of 70k people.

Ricky Manning Jr had some jerk moments. Stephen Davis was a jerk to people next to me at training camp once. Brandon LaFell was borderline jerk to me at Panther talk. Todd Saurbrun... I think Charles Johnson is a jerk based on twitter. Terrel Sutton to. Frank Garcia won't let people finish a phone call on WFNZ. Kris Jenkins could be a jerk.

is this about jerks or criminals?

I think most would define a "jerk" as someone who treats other people badly. Sometimes that treatment is criminal, but not always.

There was a guy at Denny's who might agree with you about Manning.

As I recall, Roethlisberger actually had a third accuser, though that one got very little press.

Beyond the rapes though, SI had a full length article on just how big a jackhole Roethlisberger was to pretty much everyone around him..

Pretty sure you can just look at Roethlisberger and know the guy is a dickhead.

I'm not trying to downplay rape, but what Vick did to women is almost just as bad. I figure that plus the dog fighting just barely jumps roeth. I'd give them 1a and 1b on the list.

Yeah, Vick spreading herpes around like a joint at Dead concert, should help boost his douche'ness to another level.
