Don't be silly. First of all cam is not going anywhere, and if he did it would not be because of signing stewart lol.

The cap can be so easily manipulated and moves can be made. Look at all the eagles spent last year in free agency, and guess who currently has the most cap space of all the teams in the league.

Per Pro Football Talk, only 12 teams have more cap space than the Panthers. According to this report, we have close to $9 million available.

This is just a reminder to those that worry about these things. Don't waste your time fretting over perceived problems with the cap in the offseason. It's gonna be alright.

Also only top 51 are counting right now. After the season starts it's everyone, and that could be as many as 70 or more players depending on how many are brought in to replace injured, etc. Practice squad will count then too.

Yes, we will have to include more players in the calculation once the season starts. Just like every other team.

But the fact remains that compared to the league average we are in pretty good shape, and we already have a solid core locked up long term.

Yes, we have an outstanding issue with J Stew, but every team has these kinds of issues to confront.

The point is, there is no reason for the gloom and doom regarding the cap that seems to dominate the board from time to time.
