Three Teams You Want to Beat and Why

Recommended Posts

Just because I realized that if we want to make the playoffs, we must beat those slightly above average teams like:

Chicago

Dallas

Atlanta

We play some elite QBs this season, especially Drew Brees twice...both Mannings (others will step up, I'm sure), but the Falcons, Cowboys, and Atlanta will be fighting with us for divisional and conference positioning for a playoff spot. Assuming the Giants, Eagles, and Saints* are the divisional favorites we really need to go at least 3-1 vs the above teams (2 home, 2 away).

If we can win 3 or 4 here and beat the mediocre teams that we are clearly superior to: Tampa Bay, Washington, Oakland, etc. we should be in a good position to have 9 or 10 wins. THat might be enough for a wildcard spot. To win the division we are going to have to beat New Orleans and Atlanta at least once each and sweep the Bucs. Seems like a tall order even with an elite QB of our own.

So, those games vs Cutler, Romo, and Ryan are Super Important! Plus I really dislike the Cowboys and Falcons.

Thanks for the responses guys. I just want to clarify of course we want to win 16 times this year but the question is which 3 teams did you want to beat the MOST. We got tons of great responses so I tallied them up.As of post #36:

New Orlean Saints** 23

Atlanta Falcons 11

Chicago Bears 10

Dallas Cowboys 9

New York Giants 9

Philadelphia Eagles 9

Denver Broncos 8

Washington Redskins 4

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 4

San Diego Chargers 2

Seattle Seahawks 1

San Francisco 49ers 1 (in the playoffs)

Oakland Raiders

Kansas City Chiefs

Voters: 28

I find it very interesting that the Raiders and Chiefs are so irrelevant in this region. Small sample size but still not one vote. Also surprised the Cowboys didn't get more votes. Keep voting if you like. I'll update if we get another 20 responses or so.

Some say it's obvious....

It all starts in the division.

Biggest priority wins.

Second, is the conference games that aren't division rivals.

It the division and conference record that counts the most.

The biggest conference game will be the Giants. They are the champs.

the inter conference games, while I still want wins, just aren't as important as the other games.

Beating the Broncos is only a desire, cause they are the opponent.

The bitterness/hatred that many hold for Fox is downright childish. He's a good coach. Not my favorite, but still a good coach.
