He said its up to Otah to make this team. That means Otah can make this team. The problem is Otah has shown us no reason to think he cares.

I don't think you can say Ron is trying to motivate players through the media. I'm sure he's a million times more honest to their face than he ever would be to the media.

Listen to how Ron talks about Beason or Davis, and then how he talks about Otah.

Yet there are still some that think there are no "other" issues with Jeff. Some guys just don't want it bad enough.

Ooooh fk, my knee! Hot damn! Ouch, ouch, ouch. owweeee!

Hopefully this will light a fire under Otah's massive ass. I've passed the point where I care. If he makes it as our starter, then I'll be pleasantly surprised. If not, then seeya Otah. He is supremely good at his job when he is healthy. I just wish he could be motivated enough to want to want it...

Otah is perfectly healthy, he's gonna be ready to go once the season starts. If not, free surgery on the house. ;)

My observations:

Anyone he does mention, he is very specific about. Whether he's satisfied or not about them.

He mentions LaFell a lot, he's being doing that lately and I'm sold that he's the #2 guy. Especially when he mentions smith and him, then proceeds to say he wants a #3 guy to step up. Not a knock on Gettis to be precise. But it might be a nudge so he doesn't become complacent. He did say that Pilares could be the potential #3 receiver. So that Depth chart may look different.

Rivera is very high on LaFell. He wants someone to step up for that #3 Wide out spot and #2 TE spot. Barnidge, please stand up.

He's not worried at all about the defensive line which is reassuring to me.

The safety position is up for grabs. The Corner position is a little tricky. He's not naming Cap as the #2 like he did LaFell, but he did say he's the Nickel guy.

Otah is done guys. No doubt in my mind. He's in Rivera's dog house and he has to earn that spot now. I'll be surprised if he does win the RT spot. He also feels great about Bell, even if some of you don't. I always thought it was excellent what Byron did given how he came into the league and who he faced. I'm glad he see's it that way too.

I feel he is very very excited about the Defense. I'm starting to drink that kool-aid too. He basically said Pilares and Adams are going to be the return guys. Armanti not even mentioned. That's another guy that is probably heading out.

Yah I dnt know why people are down on Bell. I mean I wish Otah could be healthy and win that job bc he is a beast but if not, I'm sold on Bell. He played great last year as an UFA. I didn't see Bell struggle much last year like how some of y'all said y'all saw. Bell will only get better.

Some people wanna talk about diamond in the rough. Bell is a dismond in the rough. We basically stole a talent in Bell.

Not only was he a UFA, he was a UFA with no offseason program. Bell deserves more credit than he gets on this site.

"Building this place as our place, our stadium, making it hard for opponents to play here" Ron Rivera.

I never have had the chance to go to a Panther game. Watched many games on NFL Ticket, or 15 second highlights on numerous sports shows before I was able to afford the Ticket. One thing I have always noticed is how there seems to be a lot of opponent fans at the game. Also, how fans that attend the game is of the wine and cheese type. Rivera wants us to be loud when opponents are on offense, make it hard for them to play here. This was at the beginning of the interview BTW......
