my dream draft moves

There have been rumors here and there of the possibility of trading the no.2 pick. We all knows that the no.2 pick is out there up for trade, but who? One that I would really like to see happen is a trade to Sacramento for Tyreke Evans. If the rumors are true about Sac wanting to move up; Tyreke Evans and their no.5 for our no.2, we should jump on it quick. To me, it seem too much for Sac to give up and move up only three spots but maybe giving our 31 also could seal that deal. Evans is the type of shooter we need, who is better than anyone we can get at no.2 right now and should be able to play SG.

but, but BUT wait. Here's another one! Hornets have put words out there of willing to trade away the no.10 pick if someone will take on Okafor or Ariza's contract. Why not take on Ariza's? We have the cap to take on something like that for two years. In addition we pack on another lottery pick.

Dont get me wrong, this is somewhere along the line of wishful thinking. Something that more than likely is not going to happen at all, but should be if I was the GM. lol But after all this, we have to find suitors for Tyrus Thomas and Magette . Maybe even Augustin to help create some cap space.

Edit: Just saw that Ramon Sessions opts out and will become free agent. Lakers will need another PG. Time to work out a deal and trade Augustin to the Lakers. I know there were rumors last year of DJ to LA, so time to do it now. DJ is def better than Sessions.

With that said, in the draft we take:

No.5 : Harrison Barnes SF

No.10: Perry Jones PF

Edit: maybe Meyers Leonard at 10?

PG: Kemba

SG: Evans/Henderson

SF: Barnes/Ariza

PF: Biyombo/Jones

C : Mullens. or Leonard

i would do the tyreke deal in a heartbeat... love that trade if it has any truth to it. i like leonard at 10, but doubt barnes would be there at 5, cavs love him, but that means beal or drummond would be there for us?

I actually like that idea, also the cavs have their 4 and 24 pick up. The 10th pick is the bad contract, and with Diop,TT can we really afford to take another contract?

I think we could def find suitors for Tyrus. One of the main priority this offseason is to trade Thomas and help clear some cap.

Yah I'm not sure about how truth the rumor is. I seen some on here so I decided to look it up. Found some truth to it, maybe.

But if it's truth, it would be stupid for us not to do it.

I think Barnes has a good chance at 5. Only team that would take Barnes top four is if we take him at 2 or Cavs take him at 4. But this is how see it:

1. Davis

2. MKG

3. Robinson

4. Beal

5. Barnes

As top five BPA

Dream draft?

Getting Tyreke Evans and the 5th pick for our 2nd pick

Drafting Harrison Barnes with the 5th pick

Drafting Draymond Green with the 31st pick

Walker

Evans

Barnes

Mullens

Biyombo

w/Henderson, Green, Williams, Thomas off the bench. Would be a fun team to watch IMO.

That Tyreke deal would be awesome and exactly what we're looking for. He has franchise player-type potential and he showed that his rookie year when healthy and he's still on his rookie contract. On top of that, we'd basically swap the 2 and the 5, this is the most plausible deal out there IMO, if it's an option.

And all the guys people are talking about from 2 to 10 aren't that different. I like TRob, but I'm starting to feel like he's going to be a solid player but nothing special, although I could be very wrong. I also think Harrison Barnes will be solid but nothing special... Kind of like a Dale Ellis or Dan Majerle-type player. So, I don't see a huge drop from 2 to 5, especially when we're getting a potential franchise guy in Tyreke.

Praise God Okafor and Ariza would have only set this team back we are trying to stay young here.

The Evans plan is by far the best because we still get a good player in Harrison and a face of the franchise player in Evans.

All you have to do now is sign a good center and we are getting somewhere.

PG- Walker

SG- Evans

SF- Barnes

PF- Biyombo

C- ?

Acquiring Evans could also open up the opportunity of trading Henderson for a good center.

    • This is a wild statement it’s to late to save his season with six games left? That mountain of bad film as a rookie with trash coaching a weak azz line and dismal WRs. Guys that can’t catch on with other teams or guys traded to teams that are subpar at best. We put Bryce in a terrible situation to start his career does that matter to you or you feel he should’ve, as a rookie elevate this dumpster fire. If you’re giving him a fair assessment judge him off the last four games a good o-line decent WRs still not comparable to any other young QB WR room Hou (tank/nico..) Tua (Hill/Waddle) Caleb (Moore/Rome/Allen) let’s see what he can do with a decent structure around him for the next few weeks then let’s revisit how we’re going to grade or assess his performances.
    • As a bit of counterpoint, if he wanted to continue his professional career then handling it like a mature adult was the only option. Dude had been playing like absolute ass and needed to own it. It's great that he did but it's not like he didn't have a large amount of self interest in doing so. Not picking on Bryce specifically here, as this applies to any player or even anyone struggling early in their career. And he still has a long way to go, but signs are positive.
    • I agree he could still develop, but I think that could still be developed in practice. Just after a scary injury like that, I'm nervous to see him get reps in a live game situation when the best possible outcome is nothing more than worsening our draft selection. That said, I'm 100% not a doctor, so if he's clear to play, he wants to play, and there's no potential of aggravating this injury (which by all accounts it doesn't seem that is the case for this type of injury) then go for it, I guess.   But you hit the nail on the head. This draft class is really impressive. I can't remember the last time I was so impressed with a rookie that I'd actually prefer shutting him down. His game is so apparent that he doesn't need to prove anything at this point. Can't remember the last time that happened!
