Should the Carolina Panthers be the "North Carolina Panthers"?

Collectively SC sucks giant donkey balls. The funny part is NC people think they are light years better.

well they shouldn't. not light years. Bewtween the triad and the triangle, the universities and diversity for leisure between the coast and the mountains NC definitely has the edge.

It is a matter of taste as well. I mean some people like myrtle beach... I'm just not one of them.

Columbia is a shithole but I do love the effort put into Williams-Brice. Very nice. But what else is there?

HHI was cool in the mid-90's but I could see where it was going. Too commercial. Now they even have a Lexus lane and have allowed the town of Bluffton to leak right in. Two Outbacks between 95 and the coast on the 278 is two too many for a place with such an exclusive potential.

It's truly not close. Throw out Charlotte which to me is not even really a North Carolina city when you consider the transplant population and overall culture. Even if we let the south claim Charlotte it isn't close in my eyes.

NC has some places that will make your skin crawl. Particularly in the East in places surrounding ECU. They have great bbq there but that is it. There are some places in the West around the TN border that are pretty sketchy. The "Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia" comes to mind in and around those parts.

BUT YOU GUYS THE ROADS IN SOUTH CAROLINA ARE SO AWESOME

i love getting my front end realigned every 3 months personally

Fun fact about roads in SC:

They have to be designed in metric. So the engineer designs it in imperial units, then turns around and converts the plans to metric. They then turn it over to the contractor, who converts the metric plans back to imperial units to build it.

smart, huh?

This thread is still going on?!?!? Didn't NC win this thing like 8 pages ago.

Charleston is a pretty town.

However, I find it hilarious that the SC people are pimping Charleston's history as a good thing.

South Carolinian logic:

"Dude, you have no town with the history of Charleston in NC. You know, the place that started the deadliest war in US history (which we lost), and... and the place that was the south's central hub for the slave trade, you know.... oh... oh... and not only that at one point Charleston had more slaves living there than free people. What has NC got that tops that history man!!"

Um, no thanks. I don't want to be anywhere near that history.

No self respecting local would ever go to Wet Willie's if it's still open. I was kinda hoping someone would say the same thing about the Epicenter and Ri Ra's, but oh well.

In short on average NC towns are better than SC towns. Of course all NC cities are pretty much average, and without character. SC has these types of towns as well (ex: Greenville).

I always say you can't say anything bad about Charlotte. Of course you can't say anything good either.

However, there is only one world class town in the Carolina's: Charleston.

Once you get outside the Carolina's, you'll find no one has a clue which one is which, so this is a pretty silly argument altogether.

The fact that you say that you can't say anything bad about Charlotte means you don't know poo about North Carolina. Charlotte might be our worst city and it is still better than any poo town in SC.
