Should the Carolina Panthers be the "North Carolina Panthers"?

Every 6 months we have a long ass bitch fest about North and South Carolina, I learned long ago not to join the fight,

but you dont see people leaving South Carolina in droves to get the hell out of town we actually love it here.

Not saying North Carolina is bad place but what the fug happened to you guys bunch of Democrat loving liberals you make San Fran blush.

I know there are a lot of great fans in South Carolina that may feel a little butt-hurt asking this...

but why do the Panthers (and Hurricanes for that matter) use Carolina instead of North Carolina? What about the "Charlotte Panthers"? Is it because it is just rolls off the tongue easier? Do they just want a larger fan base?

If you look at the Panthers logo upside down its a map of South and North Carolina together " Carolina Panthers" that's the way Richardson wanted to be done .

Charleston is an anomaly in SC. If it was the norm this wouldn't be a discussion

Let's look at NC Cities:

Greensboro - Strip malls

Raleigh - Larger amount of strip malls with a handful of South Asian engineers to provide "culture".

Charlotte - Even larger amount of strip malls with a deserted downtown. Populated by bankers with bad haircuts.

Fayetteville - Giant poo hole

Asheville - Cool town overrun by hippies and retired people

Wilmington - Small charming coastal town reminiscent of Beaufort, SC

Charleston is an anomaly for both of the Carolinas, honestly.
