Question about iTunes and transferring music

Just got a new laptop... MacBook Pro. I was wondering if it would be possible to move my entire music library from my desktop computer to my new laptop. Are there any programs you can buy that would make this as easy and fast as possible? I have about 3,500 songs that need to be transferred.

Do you have an external hard drive? If you do it should be very easy, as long as you arent trying to move your songs out of iTunes into some different format

Yup... external hard drive is the best route. I keep my entire library on there. Actually, I run itunes off it.

For the flash drive, I'll just have to drag and drop all the songs into it correct? And once I put it into my laptop it'll load itself?

Yeah, flashdrives work. I actually used a DVD disk to copy mine a few years ago, but I didn't have as much music now as I did then.

I think you can drag it into the flashdrive, then do the same on the new computer. Should work fine.

But if you're OCD like I am, you'll have to transfer the amount of plays and stuff manually. I spent hours getting the play counts right on my new laptop haha.

Yeah, uploading once into Google Music's cloud and then pushing "play" on your phone is teh hardz.
