i haven't actually. most of what i listen to is documentary or science-based.

All the ones I listen to are atheist podcasts. The Non-Prophets, Ask An Atheist, Living After Faith, Irreligiosophy (this one is cancelled, but they have a large archive).

i still am having trouble deleting things. i was able to delete one thing, but another i'm trying to get rid isn't allowing me to delete it. i wish it had a menu.

It usually talks about news and political issues that are relevant to atheism. Also, a lot of it is educational (for instance, Irreligiosophy had a few episodes where the entire show was about Mormonism and what that entails, since both the hosts were former Mormons).

If it's a serious question of "how long can you spend", anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours, from what I've found. <_<

Are you using iTunes? I know on Zune, you can either subscribe to the whole podcast and it will auto-download the latest 3 episodes, and you can optionally download from the archive prior to that. Or, if you rather, you can choose to not subscribe and download individually from the marketplace. You can delete any time you want. Seems like a switch is in order if you have iTunes.

just got the iphone recently and yes, I am using itunes to download podcasts. I didn't know there was another way.

I downloaded a few free ones, listened to a bit of them, and decided I didn't want them. Deleting those is where I had an issue. Skipping to the end before trying to delete is what worked for me.
