Hossler is awesome, I hope he plays well tomorrow.

This night time live golf is so great. I wish all tournaments were like this...

Cool to be watching a major at 10pm.

Hossler missed a couple of really short putts when I was watching. If he had made those......

Still, he is an incredible story this week.

I missed it but was tracking occasionally on my phone. It's my fault for not watching...

I wouldn't exactly say he's done... Cause anything can happen as we witnessed today... But there is no Tiger effect going into tomorrow. If the winning # ends up being -1 or better than I say it's over. But if he can get hot and the winning # is even or +1 then I believe he'll have a legitimate shot to put some pressure on those behind him.

I'd imagine that the pins will be ridiculously hard tomorrow... We shall see. If all else fails we have game 3 of the Finals to look fwd to

Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger.

Wonder if ESPN will even report on the winner today. The US Tiger Open was good for a couple days, but now with him fading, ESPN execs will probably jump off the Golden Gate Bridge. Typical of them. They usually show about 5 mins of Tiger highlights and then tell you something like, "he is tied for 32nd". Never give other golfers their due. Give me a break. Broadcasters are running him in the ground.

The 17 year old being in the hunt should be the lead story, but no. Furyk is a machine, McDowell will be tough to beat today. Great pairing. Like that Els got back into it.

This.

The networks will show Tiger on the practice range before they'll show someone making an eagle. His first made birdie putt of the day was replayed 4 times from 4 different camera angles, while McDowell's first birdie putt got a single replay...and he's leading. Even the 17-year old rookie kid didn't get the replays and he made some unbelievable shots.

Coverage on NBC start at 3PM Sunday. Tiger goes off at 4:50 and the leaders go off at 6, which means we'll see about 10 golf shots taken between the "fluff and fill" stories from 3PM until Tiger tees off. Then we'll have to watch Tiger for an hour, throwing clubs and dropping f-bombs until the leaders go... unless Tiger happens to make a decent shot, then the leaders coverage will be dumped in favor of Tiger's "miraculous comeback as he charges to the front...." oh, wait.... he just made par.

I am amazed at the number of 'fans' Tiger has and the crowds that follow him. He couldn't care less about fans, is about as friendly as a cornered badger and is generally pretty much an a$$hole to people, but they keep cheering him on. There are a lot of golfers on that course who work just as hard, who play just as well and who are much friendlier and likable but never get their due. Kuchar, Webb Simpson, Sergio, Zach Johnson, Ian Poulter.... some of those guys are just funny and enjoyable to listen to.

Hossler is at +3 and the leaders are at -1.

I think the guys at +5 and up are out of it. The best scores yesterday were -2 and -3, so unless McDowell and Furyk really play badly those guys won't do much... Look out for Westwood and Dufner.

Tiger is probably really pissed at his scoring yesterday... He just couldn't get it going. I agree about the network coverage of Tiger, it gets old.

McDowell was rolling his putts well, they just wouldn't fall... If he'd hit some of those he left on the lip he'd be running away with it.

I think the Hossler kid is either going to choke under the pressure, or play really well because he's got nothing to lose...

This is going to be a great Sunday at the Open. Lots of good guys in position.

I will be shocked if Hossler does not have a bad round today. The course will be set up super hard...and there is the pressure thing. However, I would think a 17 yr old would have already crumbled under pressure at a major. He must be a pretty cool kid. He is a fun story....hope his golf future is bright.

PS...Hope Tiger chokes early so they quit talking about him.

Tiger drives ratings and if you don't know by now that's what networks crave. Not saying its right but that's modern day TV.

I think Furyk will win but McDowell has good momentum going into today... Tiger struggled yesterday on the slower greens, if it plays the same today, I wonder how he'll adjust.

Hossler is a nice story, I hope he finishes strong.
