Cleats and gloves are not regulated. Certain players have contracts with brands to wear their gear like Cam UA, D-Will Nike, RG3 Adidas, and Ochocinco Reebok. I was just surprised that Smitty was wearing UA when I am pretty sure he was getting paid to wear Reebok the past couple years.

I think the color scheme of the gloves/cleats are regulated. I think the player you are talking about wanted to wear red, white, and blue or something like that. Also, Deangelo Williams had to go through the NFL offices to start wearing all that pink stuff for his mom.

Can wore UA all last season. You can get fined for the colors, not the shoes.

Guys aren't allowed to wear Reebok anymore, so he had to go with something else and I'm sure Cam helped convince him to go with UA.

Pretty sure Reggie Bush and RG3 are wearing Adidas. I can't imagine how they could freeze out only Reebok.

I read an article a while back that essentially everything is regulated and if players deviate they get fined but who every endorses them ends up paying the fine

If Nike has the NFL contract then aren't all gloves, jerseys, shoes etc issued from Nike. That doesn't count personal gear off the field but wouldn't all official gear be Nike or is that just jerseys?? Are there separate contracts for other items. What about Helmets, shoes or whatever.... Is it a free for all or strict rules??

Cam wore those fugly UA moon boots last year when Reebok had the contract. I think shoes

and gloves people can wear whatever they want....maybe within certain guidelines (color could be one)
