89 wants to play 3-4 more years

Right... but the bills still dominated half of the league, even if they were inferior to the NFC. They were one of the main reasons why marino never won a ring. Do you feel if he was in the SB 4x straight he would have lost them all?

Well, considering the one year they got there, they got destroyed...possibly.

Still, you even said it yourself. The Bills. Not Reed. Very good player. But I wouldn't put him in the Hall.

Not to take credit away from Reed or the Bills, but Marino was a big time playoff choke artist. He had one brilliant game - the AFC Championship game when they went to the Super Bowl. Check out his career playoff stats

I hear no athlete ever leaves the game satisfied. It was stunning the first time I heard it, but it seems to be true. There are a few that may have, but most of them are bitter when they leave. I hope Smitty will be one of the few, but I think he might be convinced to stick around for a few more. It just depends on when and how many times we get rings.

If we get none before 4 years, Id say he could be convinced to stay for one or two more. It wasnt too long ago that a young 89 was asking a 34 year old Ricky Proehl to stick around for more shot at the ring. His speed will allow him to play as long as he can tolerate.
