Verizon Tinkering w/ Phone Plans

I'm still grandfathered in. A few months ago I used about 300GB before I got my new cable internet, now I barely use 100MB. 4G of course.

I couldn't really give two shits whether I can keep unlimited or not, but it's nice to have sometimes.

300GB? GB??? Damn wtf were you downloading?

I use the hell out of mine (I thought) and barely scratch 1GB per month. Of course I have WiFi at work and at home so I'm on that in those locations... but I stream Pandora, post on the huddle, dl songs, etc. with my phone on 4G.

I'm grandfathered in on the unlimited plan, but I don't even use 1GB a month. I'm a glutton and keeping it all for myself while those with limits pay out the nose. I'm like the fat guy at the buffet, throwing away food while watching the starving kids who are looking through the window.

I'm also on an old grandfathered Alltell plan... they've always said they would honor it, but I suspect that will change the next time I upgrade and have to sign a new contract. They don't like those unlimited data plans... it's probably killing them that they can't make more money off of us.

Don't sign for a new contract. If you want a new phone buy it off eBay. I got a Razr Maxx right after they came out for $340. Just login to your MyVerizon account & activate it. That phone was $200 with a 2-year agreement. Keeping your old plan & paying a little extra for the phone is way cheaper. Plenty of trustworthy sellers on eBay.
