Madden 13 Triple Option

I can't remember the last time I connected to a receiver on a go route on a PA pass. They never ever get in front of the coverage and if it's a zone with the CB in the flats the safety always comes over the top to make the play. no. matter. what.

Pick a play where you have a wideout running a deep post. Hot route another receiver on the same side to run a slant to pull zone coverage away. If you can avoid the blitz, that deep receiver will be open every time. If the blitz is too fast, hit the receiver running the slant.

i monkey with hot routes all the time. if i'm running a TE on that side i'll change the right to a post to freeze the safety, or drop an RB in the flat to see if the LB drops out to cover and the CB goes after my TE, change the left WR to a go route if the SS drops in the box to keep the FS in the middle of the field... still nothing.

part of the problem is i'm playing on all-pro and one of the game's biggest flaws is that it creates far, far too many rain games, and i just slogged through five of them in a row, and passing is utter hell in the rain. the game arbitrarily causes throws to wide open receivers to sail eight feet off target. it's maddening. pun not intended

anyway thank god TCF was here to tell me about the dynamics of play action passing. i hope he unblocks me so i can get more golden tidbits of wisdom. for some reason none of my offensive linemen are never open on passing plays, can you help me turn them into better receivers TCF?

This statement right here shows that you absolutely suck at Madden. It also shows that you can't recognize what the defense is in pre snap.

Step your game up

Also, since you sound like such a rookie... Here's a tip. PA rarely works on first down. Implement it later in a drive when you have established ground dominance and pissed your opponent off so much that they have no choice but to try to blitz to stop the run. Then pick a PA (play action... U obviously don't know much so let me spell it out for you) play out of the same set, crash your I line down pre-snap to give u the time to throw the ball and throw the pass as Smitty is side by side with the CB... TD every single time! It also helps if u can control the WR and make a user catch... But you're obviously a novice... So just try your best!

You might want to consider by the "Madden Guide" this year. It helps if you know the basics... Any Madden player knows that the guide is a complete rip off, but in your case, it may just be beneficial.

I can't wait for your response on this.... I'm sure it will be lame as usual. You however, brought this upon yourself with the above quoted post. And just let me know if you'd ever like to play me... I have a PS3 but can easily go to a friends house top lay u on 360.

False. I almost always start my first drive with play action which usually works. It's easy to run on first down because most people bite on the run.

Out of I-Form Pro, PA Power O is a good play. Olsen runs a corner and can beat most LBs in man. In zone Smith runs a streak to draw coverage away from Olsen
