Cam has already changed the NFL

Nice going, but just because Carolina has been better than Washington in recent history doen't mean they still don't occupy the same dumpster.

Yeah, the history pretty much proves since Carolina entered the league....they don't occupy the same one when comparing the success of the franchises. Skins have seen virtually no success and that can't be said about Carolina in that span....

This is coming from a poster who many believe opts to look at the negative sides to Carolina....but the Skins have been a joke recently. This is former Skins country....most real Skins fans admit that

And i'm saying that Cam or any other quarterback for that matter had nothing to do with the press/hype or over all good feelings about Robert Griffin III. He's earned the spotlight on his own. I think Panther fans have such an inferiority complex about their team its like a punch in the gut when an opposing player gets a little pat on the back. Strange

Oh please...I called it right on this site last season. I told you the media wasn't going to do to RGIII what they did to Cam because it would raise a lot of eye-brows. These folks in the media aren't stupid. Plus, they knew they were going to get the outcome they wanted between the two QBs...

It was clear from the time Cam was at Auburn that the media was going to go after him and do it extremely viciously. They wanted him to fail while he was at Auburn and he didn't. And, they felt they had a chance to affect how he came off the draftboard doing what they do best...building up a false image of someone based on bits and pieces of negative story they can spin into a much bigger story.

Cam's so called "character issues" were more fictious than reality. Whatever he did while at UF when he was 18 was shrouded in smoke and intentionally made to look worst than it was for the purpose of using it against him. When the best the media could do was take everything Cam said and did and intentionally spin it to paint him as arrogant and cocky, that was enough to show me what was really going on. The pile on was SOOOO obvious and uncall for.

Not takin anything away from RG3, the man's got talent. But I absolutely believe that if Cam had not had the season he did, then Washington wouldnt have invested as much as they did. If Cam had stunk last season, 'Skins wouldve gone a different path through the draft...

He's forbidden to work with the team until he's done with his Stanford academics.

This.

RG3 has been at OTAs for weeks now, and in the D.C. area, giving interviews and making appearances. Luck has been in hibernation until this week, for all intents and purposes.

Also don't forget market size.

So you don't think because of the crow they had to eat because of Cam hasn't made them at least a little less likely to criticize? That being said, I agree that RG3 is a bad man.

No i do not. Once camp is in full swing and RG3 has a poor practice or two i expect a few negitive headlines and on-air rants.

That would be a negative ghost rider,

Cam brought some of the bad press on himself but the comparisons of him to other "black QB's" was hog wash, now that a "black QB" has taken over the league, and yes it only takes one year now for someone to have "arrived", QB's who fit that mold will have a perceptibly easier time convincing the talking heads that they are the next big thing. RG3 has absolutely earned a lot of his praise but he would have gone through what Cam did if Cam hadn't set the league on fire last year.

Of course he will face some heat then....

Only thing Cam aided was taking some of the hot air out of the media and what they began doing to black athletic QBs playing college ball in non pro systems coming out

lol Cam has nothing to do with it. If RG3 was sucking it up in camp do you think his name would be on everyones lips? No. RG3 is getting press because RG3 is a bad bad man.

You are so fugging delusional Lol!

It's OTA practices in shorts. The db's are forbidden from even bumping the receivers. The league is full of Practice All-Pros. So sad to see a Rock Hill guy with such blind homerism for a team that hasn't done sh*t for our local area.

Oh i agree 100% but lets not pretend both aren't near the bottom. Hopefully having two franchise quarterbacks will change that.

By always better than Luck you mean always thought that during the percentage of one season?

I'm note sure of your question but RGIII is a better athlete than Luck. Also, last year with Cam, the sport experts were doing everything in their power to paint Cam as stupid and using that as one of the reasons why he won't succeed as a QB..RGIII has thrown that argument right out the window because he's just as smart, if not smarter than Luck.

They did try and go down the cocky and arrogant road with RGIII but it came off shallow because of how hard miuch it was used against Cam last year.

The great thing about Cam is, he always made it exciting. Even when we lost, I was still excited about the potential we have. In previous years, we would lose and it got to the point where I wasn't as pumped to watch the next game. I have watched every single game the last 6 years, and now you can expect some great plays every game. That is the Cam Effect, he always gives you the confidence that you can win every single game. RG3 will be the same for the Skins games, even though his has not taken a snap.

If you look at all 32 teams in that span.....Skins are at the bottom. Panthers are more middle of the road.

But unless you at the top I don't guess it really matters too much
