Austin Rivers

I never wanted Terrence Williams, and I'm not trashing Hendo. I'm acknowledging that NEITHER Beal of Gilchrist with him in an ideal situation. He and Gilchrist could be great defensively, but not offensively, and he and Beal would be undersized.

Henderson's only 15 points a night because NO ONE ELSE COULD SCORE. 18 - 21 a night on last year's team would've proven something about his offense.

He would fill the Gilchrist role on the Bobcats if they had a legitimate scoring threat at SG or SF.

Well I saw that the Kings may not offer a Tyreke Evans a contract extension and personally, I think he would be a great fit in Charlotte because he can play point guard or shooting guard.

Add MKG to Evans and Jamison and we are getting somewhere.

The issue there was whether Beal could be a PG, and saying yes to that idiotic. If either Rivers or Beal was going to play PG eventually, anyone with a brain would say that Rivers has more potential in that position than Beal. PG in the NBA isn't like PG in college, which is why guys who play stiff like older Jason Kidd and Steve Nash can still succeed, because there's so much more space on the court, which is why Rivers could play the position in the pros. Beal doesn't have the right physique for doing any more than spotting your PG minutes, but yes, Rivers could DEVELOP INTO a full-time PG if a team wanted him to. Beal will be drafted to be a SG and they'll say he can fill in at the point AT TIMES. That's the same thing they'll say about Rivers, right now, but I'm saying he could become a full-time one, if asked. I'm sure he doesn't want to.

Beal is the more athletic one. If I was to choose between Beal or Rivers at PG, I wouldnt hesitate at choosing Beal.

Just bc you're probably a Duke's fan, you're all over your guy.

And why the h3ll would you want to take Rivers and make him a PG, when you wasted a pick on Kemba last year. Like foreal.

Why? Stupidity? Yah? Maybe?

So you're replacing Henderson with Gilchrist there, if Evans is playing PG? Or is Jamison coming off the bench? Jamison gets listed as PF, but he's really a small forward...combo forward. I don't like any lineups with him being heavily counted on. That unit doesn't appear to mesh.

Evans, like Rivers, wouldn't pass to Gilchrist or Hendo out on the wings if he thinks they can't shoot. Would be different in transition.

In impact, moron, not in game.

If he ends up being like Eric Gordan in impact then he's definitely not worth a top 3 pick.

Oracle, you're a dumb@ss foreal after stating Eric Gordon is not worth a top 3 pick.

At first, I thought you were just being an idot. Now, you are an IDIOT!

You know shi+ about basketball.

Cant even spell Gordon right. Do you even know who Gordon is? Retard.

I would pull for al Qaeda in a pick up game over Dook.

I'm not talking about taking Rivers UNLESS the Bobcats somehow got another lottery pick at 10-13, and only because I think he has a good offensive game and can start out as a combo guard. He could be better than guys like Matt Carroll as instant offense. I think he could play point after Kemba jets to one of the NY teams.

They likely won't. Historically, most top 10 picks haven't. Tony Parker was taken 28th, and his career was better than most taken before him.

Something like that is more likely to happen than Bradley or Gilchrist warranting Top 5 in a few years.

Dude, did you even know who Parker was when he came out.

Hisotrically most later picks doesnt last in the NBA for long okay, so dont be stupid and bring up that most top 10 picks doesnt succeed. Stupidity again.

You think its that easy to get another lottery pick after our no.2?

Quit with your wishful thinking bro.

and definitely, shut up with the Kemba jetting to NY. Unless you're a relative to Kemba, you don't know jack. So shut up!

I actually can spell GORDON, but this phone sometimes OVER CORRECTS, duh. You think you've typed one thing, then find out it put in something else. As for Eric Gordon, where was he drafted? 7th. That's where Beal would be drafted any other year, because of his size. Gordon would've been top 3 if he was 6'6.

There are plenty of better players in the NBA than Eric Gordon, who Beal will likely be worse than, anyway. Why should someone prefer the Gordon comparison over comparisons for other potential lottery picks?

Eric Gordon WOULD BE drafted top 3 now because he's already proven something, and answered some of the questions that made him #7. Beal hasn't.

I said IF not when. Understand the difference, retard? This thread is 100% hypothetical, a word you should probably look up if you couldn't see that.

That's what I said, BUFFOON. No one knows who will succeed or fail, except apparently you dunces. Most of the Top 10 picks won't amount to anything, as usual.

Exactly! You just now stated that no one knows who will succeed or fail.

Isnt that why when we're at no.2, we should take the safest and BPA duh.

Why would we do something stupid like trading down so we could get your so call "diamond in the rough"?

kidding me.

I'll put my word on it that Beal will be top 4 in the draft this month. If I'm wrong, you come back in here and make me look like a fool okay.

Only reason why Gordon was selected at 7th was because players like DRose, Mayo, Westbrook, and Love were all in that draft and were taken before him. That draft was pretty deep with talents, and even now I wouldnt take Gordon top 3. Not bc he's not worth top three, but like I just said, I rather take guys I mentioned above before him. Though, Gordon has top 3 talents all over him. If you have to go redo the 08' draft, Gordon would be no.5 behind Rose, Love, Westbrook, and HIbbert even after he has proven something.

Both of them are safe picks. Beal is a great shooter and MGK can play lock down defense.

We Don't NEED SAFE we need scoring and rebounding what good is an undersized jump shooter(Beal) who can't create his own shot and a player who is a defensive stopper(MKG) with no offensive game? Where are our points coming from???
