Good news for Thomas Davis

I am firmly in the ease him back camp. Let Keuchly learn the ropes, and let Davis ease back into the fray. Situational and rotational kinda thing. I am fairly certain the Rivera has a plan. Cuz you just know he is chomping at the bit to tweak the plays for this line-backer corp. I am giddy with anticipation with what Rivera will be coming up with.

I can agree with most of what everyone is saying BUT, it was my understanding that Kuechley is learning the Will and the Mike, not the Sam. Is it Anderson and Davis splitting reps or are all of our LB's all of the sudden playing all 3 positions?

Either way, I am an UGA fan since birth so TD has all my support, hope he gets worked in slowly, and hope he can retire a successful Panther with a ring. Hard not to like Thomas Davis as a person.

Gut feeling: Davis plays this year but as a backup/rotational guy rather than a full-time starter.

I can't wait to see what Rivera has planned for the LB corp. I really anticipate some exotic looks. But then again, it could just be the homer in me getting excited over nothing.

Agree with Davis being a class act. I am all in on him getting back on the field, at any capacity. We are a better team when he can contribute.

I agree with this. Andrews is based out of Charlotte anyway and I really doubt the second tear would have happened if Andrews did it. BTW the team docs are real good as well just not LeBron good like Andrews.

From what i hear about edwards, he blocks out the sun. Potentially very beneficial for our LBs.

Thomas's presence on the field will be beneficial to Kuechly's development, even if he's just watching from the sideline. He'll get to see first hand how to do work and then pick his brain on the sideline during games

Davis is DONE. The Doctors always tell these guys what they want to hear. And because the doctors are involved throughout, so why would a doctor say, "I'm sorry Thomas, we've failed you. Our surgery didn't work, and you wasted your time undergoing it. We should've told you after the last one that we thought you should walk away so that you can still walk without a cane 10 years from now, but we didn't because we thought we could perform a miracle for you. We couldn't, and you should just hang up your cleats now."

Doctors tell players that all the time. They have no investment in players but if you are so sure how about a little bet. I bet you that Davis plays in more games than he did last year. U game?

Even if Davis tears his ACL again, it in no way means he'll be walking with a cane in 10 years. My boss had two ACL surgeries done on each knee in college (he's like 6' 6" and played college basketball), and at 55+ still plays pickup games at lunch. Being a constant pessimist is fine if that's your thing, but leave the hyperbole out.
