Good news for Thomas Davis

Davis went to meet with Dr. James Andrews, a knee specialist, this week and received a "very positive report" and may increase his workload at next week's three-day minicamp, the team's final work before the start of training camp. Davis has been participating solely in individual drills during Carolina's organized team activities the past three weeks.

Gut feeling: Davis plays this year but as a backup/rotational guy rather than a full-time starter.

Yeah, I can't see them relying on him to be the starter. I really, really hope he's able to come back and perform, but that's two tough injuries to come back from.

Its a long shot, but if Davis, Beason, and Edwards are all healthy this year, our defense will improve significantly. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed. :)

All I know is whenever I see TD on the field this year I will be holding my breath that I don't see him go down. It's just gut wrenching and stressful for me. Yeah, I think I have issues...

Good news. I'll be happy if he gets any significant playing time this year, backup or not, without injury just to show that he's capable.

What about Thomas Davis on special teams? Not as much sideline to sideline wear and tear type pressuse on his knee. Davis as a gunner on punt defense would be deadly
