Quitting football to play "Call of Duty"?

Ah yes, I"m sure this concept is incredibly hard for you to wrap your head around. Yes, I play video games, no I don't do it nearly 18 hours a day since I have a job among other things I like to do. I also do just fine in the love life, but nice try.

And really, the "people who play video games suck at picking up girls" thing is very tired. Just like anyone who lifts weights is automatically a meat head?

Not gettin' any has made you cranky, mayne. I'm just messin' ,dude.

No need to throw me in as some snobbish PC gamer elitist. I just stated why console gaming is more popular and you decided to violently agree with me. I play a little PC gaming and a little console gaming, I like them both. I even stated its totally fine that you or many others prefer console gaming over a PC. I was simply pointing out that you stating "playing with keyboad/mouse/joystick is behind the times" is an ignorant statement.

Btw I own both Modern Warfare 1 and 2 dropped well over a 100 hours into each, prestiged multiple times and hover around a 1.7 KDR. I still play the other CoDs at my buddies house. It's a good game, but I've played enough of the engine to where its not worth me dropping 60$ on it every year.

What FPS can seriously be played with a keyboard and mouse? If I am playing a game with a keyboard and a mouse, it is most likely an RPG or similar strategy type game not conducive to real-time action.I will concede the point regarding the joystick (which I was really referring to old Atari-type joysticks), but you can't honestly tell me that today's pc game controllers aren't just glorified gamepads, complete with multiple buttons and 1 or 2 triggers. Moreover, I stand by my original statement that a PC's main advantage over the console is its graphical capabilities (which quite logically lead to some games which are not even possible on the console).

If you use a gamepad and I use a mouse then you lose every time period the end. What the hell are you talking about? Stop creating straw men. If you think the only advantage PC has over consoles is graphics then you aren't thinking about it very well.

Every FPS in existence. What the fug are you even talking about? Keyboard and Mouse play is far superior to a gamepad for FPS games and it's not even close. I have both a gaming PC and Laptop and a PS3, I'm not a fanboy of any over the other as I feel that they both offer satisfying gaming, but I wanted to point out that you are being retarded.

Back in 07 I played Halo constantly. I'd wake up at 4:30 and play Halo till I decided to go to school, usually at 9 when first period had already gone by. Fu*k off at school till I come home and play Halo till I go to sleep at about midnight. Wake up and do it again. Did that for a year. I was unstoppable, MLG good. But that in of itself seemed like too much work so I didn't bother. I might have lost 5 games that whole year. Usually got 35 kills in a 50 kill team slayer game. Then I saw how fat I was and started working out and got a life. Women and money are better than video games, though I still play Xbox.

I'm getting the impression u've never given FPS games on the PC a small handful of hours of playtime. Considering you probably play a fair bit of CoD then you probably also know about the sensitivity setting and how there is a small debate on whether high sensitivity leads to better play or not. At high sensitivity you can turn much much faster, allowing you to quickly check corners, pull off 360s and pop people in your peripheral vision, but at the cost of possibly overshooting your target. With a mouse, sensitivity isn't really an issue and generally doesn't need to be adjusted.

Also think of this, playing an FPS with a mouse is pretty similar to just navigating Windows, except instead of clicking on icons your clicking on enemies. Imagine if you flipped the controls and had to navigate windows using an analog stick on a PS3 or 360 controller- it's doable and you'd get used to it, but it certainly wouldn't be quite as accurate as the mouse. A good portion of console shooters also incorporate auto aim and targeting assistance as well, so developers have certainly recognized that a controller is a somewhat limiting device.

The biggest compliments I can give to consoles is their simplicity (so easy to just buy a game and pop it in, rather than buy a game, make sure u have all the right components and drivers, manually patch it, install it, etc etc). Also I find sports and racing games to be much better suited for consoles. I also like how in FPS games you actually shoot with a trigger, THAT feels really nice.

I haven't been into video games since the Atari 2600 broke......I think I was about 6. It drove me crazy when it was a Summer day and my friends wanted to sit inside all day and play Nintendo.

to each his own......I preferred bicycles and swimming and fishing and still do
