English players aren't given a chance to develop properly because they are expensive and less talented. A small club like Wigan can't afford to put out an all English side of quality players. They need to buy cheap up and comers from all over the world to stay up. A club like Liverpool can afford to buy the English players but can't afford to keep them in the starting lineup when they struggle.

Read Soccernomics about how the EPL can hurt England moreso than other nations. They may just be worn out.

What I find odd is how England gets the pub when it comes to soccer(kinda like the Dallas Cowboys) yet time and time again it's Gernany. Germany is almost always top 4 in every World Cup or Euro, year after year. But Germany is always under the radar.

How can you trot out a clumsy center back for the crucial penalty? He couldn't pass the ball all match how was he going to score a penalty. Send out your strikers, putting the ball in the net is their job.

BTW Spain can be very boring for a so called attacking team.

Anyway, I might be biased but I think Italy will give Germany a real good go tomorrow and might even ****** it at the end.

Interesting fact too: Italy has never lost to Spain or Germany in a competitive match.

Spain played well in extra time and had a few opportunities. Portugal obviously sat back and played for penalties, but not Spain.

So I got out of my Chem lab a little early and was looking forward to watching the 2nd half of Portugal-Spain when I discovered Time Warner had already shut my cable and internet off.

Dammit TWC I called you bastards on Monday and told you not to shut it off until friday. How is it so fuging hard for them to do this? They dont even have to be there to shut it off
