Missed another great game today :(

Anyway, expected the as always efficient Germans to win and they did.

I'm a fan of Italy and will be rooting for them to make the finals but it will be tough to get past Germany.(not worried about England)

England as much as I love them just choke in these match ups. If they win I will be stunned. No way they beat Germany though. Germ had Gomez on the BENCH the entire game and still won by 2 goals. Amazing.

I just can't see anyone beating Germany right now. They are just a juggernaut.

Greece didn't do themselves any favors. Sure they packed it in but they rarely event put pressure on the ball. When they did pressure it resulted in an easy goal.

Greece just hunkered down and played for a counter attack. Honestly thats all they could do with their Captain out due to a red card in the last match.

Agreed. They were pretty outmatched everywhere. They played well considering. Midway through the second they were tied 1-1. The depth of talent just showed eventually.

Yeah when the internet streams are poor I go over to the local bar. They don't give me much trouble watching soccer in the middle of the summer.

Boateng was awful in the game against Greece. Both of his mistakes directly resulted in goals and both mistakes were amateur. This after Lars Bender played a near perfect game against Denmark and even managed to score a goal from his right back position.

Germany is loaded with talent. The team looked better today and clearly the personnel changes paid dividends.

I also believe Ozil needs to improve as a goal scorer. He is a playmaker who sets up goals, but his movement and creativity often leaves him in position to receive a pass back for open shots on goal. He could've had a hat trick today and probably should've but instead finished with 'only' a couple assists.

Ozil could become the best player in the world in a few years. He already has the ability of a world's best player. He just doesn't have the consistency.

Boateng was terrible against Greece but I thought he did very well marking Ronaldo against Portugal. He also assisted Khedira if I remember correctly.
