Trading down?

Bobcats can't get any worse. Might as well see what you can get for it.

I'm sure Ainge will give MJ $2 for it and their 2nd round pick. The way Jordan has managed the team so for, he'll probably take it.

hmmm... i think 14 is too low for us to move and still get a solid player that i would want. if we trade out that low we would have to get a solid vet as well and the only vet i like from houston is kevin martin since he is a strong scorer but he has a horrible contract so i wouldnt take him. Other than that for houston the youth is patrick patterson and morris and neither would really be of any interest to us IMO. Both are tweener sf?pf and we dont need that here. chase buddinger is a good player but not good enough for me to want any type of move for him. honestly the only trade i would consider would be kyle lowry, thabeet, 14 and 16, and truly im not sure if i would even do that.....

Trading with Houston would put us too far down in the draft, IMO. I think we should stand pat and take Harrison, but I doubt that happens. Wish we could somehow get the 4th or 5th pick. I we were in that area, it would probably make a lot more sense to everyone to take Harrison

They want a star* player in return, so unless they can get a deal worked out with someone where they could acquire a talent like Rudy Gay (or a similar talent), I don't see a trade happening. Word is that the pick will be MKG or T-Rob. Both have said they would like to play for the Bobcats as well.

To me, this takes Houston out of the equation because there is no one on the Houston Roster that is worth the second pick.

Thabeet was moved at the deadline. Sorry. How about Samuel Dalambert? I think his contract is one year at $7M...

only if you took tyrus contract from us and we got lowry 14, 16 then id think about it lol... rockets just dont have what it takes to move up and your too far down to still get the elite 6 or so in this draft

    • With all the money invested in the offensive line, we really need to hit on some Round 1-3 picks.  We could really use a star receiver or pass rusher on a rookie contract for a few years.
    • I understand everyone being happy but let's try not to turn it into another schoolgirl crush festival. No offense. It isn't slower WRs that cause wild overthrows. They have all kinds of practice. It is his mechanics keeping things under control that allows a more efficient conversion of energy, let's call it, into the throw, that we are seeing.  He was doing it with horrible mechanics and needing to put 100% effort to get the ball that far. That totally fugs your accuracy. There is video of Mahomes and Carr on this site that I have linked with them throwing under control vs all out trying to get the most velocity on a radar gun. It shows exactly what I am saying. I didn't make it up. I have been telling y'all for a year at least. It really is all about the margins with Young and he has to be very attentive to his technique to get the most from what he has. He is doing that now and this is the new 'what he can do'. And this is it, there ain't no more. You decide if that's enough for you I guess. But you are noticing better ball flight and zip I am pretty sure, it comes from there. Again go look at the Buffalo drive in preseason and you will see that same thing you see lately. To do that stuff you have to be willing to stand tall come what may, sometimes. Hopefully you have protection to step up safely but the difference making happens when you stand in there and finish just ahead of a hit.  ..... And btw, the straw that broke the camel's back when Tepper fired Reich, was because he couldn't fix it in a week. One of the last issues that I remember was about Young's footwork. You know, I guess it is normal that 10 weeks into the season someone just realized, or finally accepted, that Young had major fundamentals issues. It took them a lot longer to realize it isn't an overnight fix. And my issues with Young were specifically over this stuff. Major rehab job, you don't pay what we paid for that. Hopefully he is 'fixed' and it 'took' and he doesn't go back into his little safe space of the old mechanics like he did week 1. If he hangs with the new, this is what you are working wth now. We just saw his ceiling.
    • i'm not nearly 100%, but i'm trending that way. He's definitely got me around 75%.
