Not an old thing per se but...

When I was single digit young my maternal grandmother made a rum cake for some reason or another. She held the belief that all of the alcohol cooked out of it so it was fine to give to kids. I loved that cake and she made me several for birthdays over the years.

A shot of Captain Morgans Spiced Rum is like a time machine. It takes me back to her kitchen and the smell and texture of that cake every time.
