Now all Madden needs is some competition.

Madden is junk everyone knows that. How? Because ESPN destroyed them and they knew it. After a few years of significantley being better in every aspect of Madden, Madden bought the lisence, knowing the 2k series was about to rip them apart with better, more involved gaming that blew Madden away. ESPN was no more, but not before Madden stole their layout and style which is still used in Madden games today. Makes it even more sickening the same poo they pump out every year, they actually stole. :(

Why are we still here discussing it? Because Madden is all there is and so if we love NFL football and games, it is really all there is but we still have the right to call it junk and garbage, because we know if the rights were bought another company would trump Madden, we have the right to call it garbage because we are forced to play it, and that is how Madden makes most it's money. Luckily for EA my love for the panthers SLIGHTLY over rules my hate for EA buying that lisnece back in the day and taking away my beloved ESPN and any other competition.

fug Madden, I'll play it, it can be fun, but the day another company gets rights will bring me more joy than any of madden games combined.

Can you imagine an actual company who cared about things like audience/player looks/comentary/gameplay/everything making the NFL games? It is NOT hard to see it could be much much better.

They need to rotate develoupers like COD. If youre going to release a game EVERY year with only one develouper eventually things get shitty and lackluster, worst of all the feeling of knowing it could be so much better but greed says otherwise.

I agree with all of this and def EA is feeling the heat this year or they would not have made so many changes. Hope they do lose the rights though cause they are a lazy company who only stayed alive because of the Madden name.

The 2k games have started to suck, so holding them up as what Madden should be isn't the best. NBA 2k12 is laughable. Whereas Madden is usually just a roster update, 2k has turned into roster update + feature subtraction.

This was before the xbox 360, when the rights was an issue. Whether ESPN sucks now or not isn't the point.

The NBA and MLB market is not as big as the NFL, if the NFL had an open lisence I can garauntee you a company could and would make a better NFL game than Madden. It is not hard to imagine, Madden lacks in so many ways.

I'm going to be honest. I stopped watching the video at 4:54 cause whomever is playing the panthers, is a fricking idiot when it comes to picking playes.

I haven't played Madden.in at least 6 years, and I can tell this guy has no business playing the game. I'd own him without a warm uo game.
