If we don't start killing them, many dogs and cats will start getting missing in places just outside of towns.

My girls parents live on a big farm and they have had to start packing all the time due to coyote issues.

Time to cull the herd.

I heard a while back they had started taking over this area, killing whatever they could get there teeth into. Hope you don't have small animals in the house because if you do, they don't need to be outside by themselves anymore

Yup, and it seems that the more they are around people, the ballsier they are getting.

In the past you almost couldn't get them to come close enough to shoot with a decent rifle, now they are stalking from the edge of peoples yards.

When they kill a small child all hell will break loose, and they will be begging people to start shooting them, until then we will just continue to be reactive to things like this instead of proactive.

I can hear the screams now about it being "wrong" to kill them....until they start killing puppies, cats, kids....etc.

I used to hear coyotes where I live almost every night. I haven't heard them for about a year now. Can't say I missed them.

When I was in Baghdad, there were jackals almost everywhere. They look like a smaller, mangier version of a coyote. Its hard to get a good look at them. They're still scared of people over there.
