Help identifying animal

I was checking on construction of my house when a pretty big animal probably little smaller than full grown german sheppard got spooked by me and it hauled ass into near by woods. It had very big furry tail, almost like a squirrel. Any ideas what it might be?

Really? I never seen a fox or coyote. It look kind of darkish and big and it ran like a cat not like an average dog.

Grey Fox and Coyote look pretty similar but very different in size and that thing was big.
