Sherrod Martin is starting free safety in OTAs; splitting snaps a possibility?

I will just agree to disagree. Godfrey first 1 1/2 years were horrible.. after coming back from injury when Sherrod Martin came in for him he played much better. Perhaps sitting down and watching from sidelines helped. I have the NFL game pass and wish I could do video editing to show you how horribly out of position Sherrod Martin has been for the past 2 years. His initial play when he took over for Martin has basically given him a pass. Godfrey makes mistakes but most of his aren't out the out of position clueless mistakes Martin makes. On this forum it's like Godfrey mistakes gets multiplied by 3 and Martins dived by 3. So Godfrey is makes mistakes but is rarely out of position, Martin is consistently our of position and makes mistakes. Martin made Richard Marshall look a lot worse than he actually was.

That being said, physically he has all the tools. I think he could be a good player. But using the last 2 years .... Martin has been a lot worse than Godfrey imo. Not saying that Marshall can't be better, it's just not on the field.

Godfrey has spent a career being out of position.... but was more glaring when he was at FS. He hasn't even been an average NFL S. Worst tackling starter in the NFL over the last 4 yrs.... and struggles when asked to cover not in a man assignment

Like I said, I got no issue with people knocking Martin...but at the same time pimping Godfrey as not bad? I got issues with that.
