Good read on what to expect from our offense in 2012

I think it will be one of the most efficient in the league...but this team is being around Cam and not a groud attack..... So it shouldn't rank (how the league ranks them) as the best. That will go to a team like the Jets or KC

I disagree.

I think this team is absolutely being built around the running game. It opens up SO much for Cam.

Look at how the offense changed in the second half of the season when the running game got going. Cam's passing numbers went down, but the offensive efficiency and wins went up.

We will not be an offense like New England or Indy (of old)....slinging the ball all over the field. I still think the offense will be more along the lines of the SD offense when they had both LT and Tolbert in the backfield.

Running game to control the game and the clock....passing game to take strikes down the file.

Chud is like a little kid with a new toy to play with.

I am very excited to see what he is going to do with Tolbert and how the offense will continue to grow.

All about talent....talent makes coaches good or bad for the most part. Can apply that to Belichick or a guy trying to break into HC like Chud. Give Chud Jimmy and he likely would be a position coach again soon

I agree about the talent. However, you must have a guy creative enough to find ways to use that talent. That is the strength of Chud. He is willing to be unconventional and FIND ways to use unique talent sets.

I love how he is building an offense around the talents that this team has.

Yeah, my comment was broad and simplistic in nature.....once you have the talent that is where the creative ones seperate themselves. But coaches to a degree have to luck into talent to really show what they can do.

Cam could of asked Jeff Davidson for the spread option...and if he gave the green light......overnight people would have thought Davidson became a better coach.

Now to the potential of the WRs, If there is one or 2 guys on offense that need to kick it up it is Gettis and Lafell. After starting on shaky ground with Rivera it was LaFell that fell behind Nanee on the depth chart much of the year.It appears he has earned the confidence of Rivera and now its time for Gettis to step up and sew up the slot position

I don't think LaFell fell behind a Legadu.....Legadu was on the field making everyone from Steve Smith, to Cam, to the water boy didn't get confused on the calls. That was his purpose....with no offseason Rivera had to have a human cheat sheet on the field

Well certainly talent plays into the equation but it more about what you do with that talent which Chud has done well.I see him building a well rounded offense that creates mismatches. One of Rivera's first statements before we drafted Cam was he wanted to be able to execute both the running and passing games which is is exactly what they are doing.Do you think Cam would have had the same year under Fox and Davidson? I think not

I think if Fox allowed the spread option looks that Cam requested....he would have still beasted. Maybe not to the degree he did with Chud but Cam would have still thrived. No reason why he wouldn't.

Talent makes coaches for the most part (big picture). Sure Chud > Davidson...but sub par talent at certain spots and neither will look good

It's Yin & Yang not chicken vs egg.

Belichick is regarded as the best coach in the NFL....was nobody until he got Tom Brady. Tom Brady doesn't need a Belichick type coach.

Dungy>Caldwell. Caldwell got a ring and Dungy type wins bc Peyton/talent ruled. Take the talent out and Caldwell is a boob.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion but most great coaches are also great teachers. Many of these players would not even be in the NFL without the help of a great coach ie Tom Brady.
