Kool's dreams Offseason.

I do too but with no real big man on the team.

And only center worth going for in FA is Hibbert which I can promise wont be a Bobcats next season. I don't know why people thinks that it's so easy to go after Hibbert by throwing a bunch of money at him. Players actually wants to win also. Bobcats is not the team for a veteran player to come play for, especially when we're in full rebuilding mode right now.

Kidd-Gilchrist is my favorite player to be the pick at no.2, but as day passes by I'm starting to wonder if it's better to take the high risk reward Drummond. That would solve the C position and will be easier for us to sign a SG or SF in FA with our cap space, if MJ chooses to be competitive and not cheap.

I agree and the FA C are slim to none after Hibbert. Maybe Kaman, R Lopez, or Hawes. But it's looking more and more that we have to draft 1 C out of 1 of the picks this year.

Well we cant offer Hibbert $23 million becuase of max contract rules in the NBA, but there is no reason we shouldnt throw a max contract offer his way just to see if the Pacers match it. Worst case, we just made the Pacers overpay for their center and make it much more difficult for them to re-sign their other players over the next couple of seasons. If they match, then do the same thing to Eric Gordon- very little downside for the bobcats right now.

I actually think there is a possiblity of this happening, because its the kind of thing Portland used to do (when Cho was an assitant there) just to piss off rival teams. I know they did it to Utah when Milsap was a RFA and it may have helped them sign Wes Mathews too

I would do the Max for Hibbert but not Gordon. He isn't a max player.

I really hope they find away to get atleast 2 of these guys off the roster

Tyrus,Diop,Carroll and Maggette.

They have to get 1 but I hope it's 2 or 3 of these guys off the roster.

That won't happen

We can't use the amnesty clause on TNT because we would still have to pay the remainder of his huge contract.

Matt Carroll will be on the roster because he has an early termination option, but he won't use it because he knows that no other team would sign him.

Diop won't be gone because he has a player option which entitles him to extend his contract because he like Carroll, knows that no other team would sign him.

I know I just wish we could lose 2 or 3 of them.

Yah I like that idea.

The only reason i can see Hibbert coming here is for a 20-23 mil which like you said above is not happening.

But I would like to add a kid like Gordon. Great shooter with high potential to really be a next real star in the future.

Anyone knows how much Eric Gordon would be looking for next year? I would be willing to give a 15 mill. Is that enough or too much?

    • This is a wild statement it’s to late to save his season with six games left? That mountain of bad film as a rookie with trash coaching a weak azz line and dismal WRs. Guys that can’t catch on with other teams or guys traded to teams that are subpar at best. We put Bryce in a terrible situation to start his career does that matter to you or you feel he should’ve, as a rookie elevate this dumpster fire. If you’re giving him a fair assessment judge him off the last four games a good o-line decent WRs still not comparable to any other young QB WR room Hou (tank/nico..) Tua (Hill/Waddle) Caleb (Moore/Rome/Allen) let’s see what he can do with a decent structure around him for the next few weeks then let’s revisit how we’re going to grade or assess his performances.
    • As a bit of counterpoint, if he wanted to continue his professional career then handling it like a mature adult was the only option. Dude had been playing like absolute ass and needed to own it. It's great that he did but it's not like he didn't have a large amount of self interest in doing so. Not picking on Bryce specifically here, as this applies to any player or even anyone struggling early in their career. And he still has a long way to go, but signs are positive.
    • I agree he could still develop, but I think that could still be developed in practice. Just after a scary injury like that, I'm nervous to see him get reps in a live game situation when the best possible outcome is nothing more than worsening our draft selection. That said, I'm 100% not a doctor, so if he's clear to play, he wants to play, and there's no potential of aggravating this injury (which by all accounts it doesn't seem that is the case for this type of injury) then go for it, I guess.   But you hit the nail on the head. This draft class is really impressive. I can't remember the last time I was so impressed with a rookie that I'd actually prefer shutting him down. His game is so apparent that he doesn't need to prove anything at this point. Can't remember the last time that happened!
