For the record, I am not a member of any Auburn or Alabama message boards.

On a side note. I believe Vick made Cam possible, and Cam made Griffin Possible.

I will probably be seen sporting a Carolina Jersey this year and for many years to come. It may have Cams number, but I will probably put my Company name on the back.

I had a Vick jersey but gave it away after the dog fighting incident.

Although Cam had some questionable character issues, I felt he turned things around at Auburn, outside of the Pay for play thing. I figured that was more Auburn's fault due to past reputation.

Griffin seems like the perfect kid. Graduated early with good grades. Already engaged. Kid has track star speed, and accuracy as high as Cam's in College.

Both seem destined to make Michael Vick step his game up (accuracy) or be forgotten in 2-3 years.

I don't. RG3 made Griffin possible. lol he didn't just see Cam playing football one day and decide, "thats for me."

As a life long Tarheel fan, I became a Panther fan in '02 when we drafted Pep. My love for the Panthers have surpassed my love for Pep tenfold, and now Pep isn't even my favorite Panther. This is a great organization, and I ask myself all the time, what took so long.

Give it some time, those Cam lovers will become Panther lovers soon enough.

Been a fan since '03, when the Panthers beat the Giants at the end of the season. I always hated the Giants because my friends were fans, and it was one of the few Panthers games that were ever televised up here. I watched them march to the Super Bowl and realized I had found my team. Steve Smith had a lot to do with drawing my fanhood. Not sure about the relevancy of this thread, because whatever draws a persons interest to this team (Cam included) is fine by me. It may be a player, the location, team philosophy, whatever that makes someone a fan, but fug if they are on board with the team it's fine by me

we made these little pins to wear to lunch for the NFCCG I remember. I remember my dad explaining the signifigance of sam mills intercepting troy aikman and returning it to about the 20 yard line or something like that. Good times.

2003 was wonderful because my 9th grade sweetheart and i used the night games as an excuse to go upstairs and fool around. Also good times.

2005 sucked because i got my first job as a bagboy and i had to tape the games. I missed pretty much every game. I had to buy these expensive extra long VHS tapes.

2008 was horrible because I transfered to a new university for the spring so my first sports bonding oppurtunity with my new roomates was the arizona game, blech.

delhome got a ton of the credit too just like The Golden Calf of Bristol in '11. Amazing how similar those seasons were. Delhome could throw waaaay better than The Golden Calf of Bristol though. Which makes The Golden Calf of Bristol pretty horrible.

i never had a favorite team of mine growing up, until about seventh grade, (2007). a couple buddies of mine were panthers fans and it rubbed off on me. i've been hooked since.
