Bobcats Have To "hit" In This Year Draft

Recommended Posts

for those who has the time to read this bull from me. im still mourning from last night loss. i dont keep up with the bobcats but they're still my team. gotta love them anyway. just getting this out my system. i know its a lot of bull, but no hate please. peace fam!

Some of us (me), are still mourning from last night lottery loss. Anthony Davis was suppose to solve the answer for the Bobcats. Turn this franchise around quickly and be the face of the franchise like how Cam did with our Panthers. Well, with Davis surely being gone with the No.1 pick, lucky we're still left with plenty of talented players to choose from. I believe that this year draft has a couple of "star" caliber players that will be able to be the face of the NBA in the future. And its definitely a better draft class than last year.

With losing the No.1 pick, could this be a "BLESSING IN DISGUISE"? Having the chance to take a MKG, Beal, Barnes, etc.

Davis was so talented that everyone was locked onto him being the sure no.1 pick, and forgot to look at the other prospects. Now, the Bobcats especially "Michael Jordan" and Rich Cho will have to do their homework more than anything in the past. Do it plenty of times and more importantly, do it right. We have to "HIT JACKPOT" with this no.2 pick. We can't miss on this again. This no.2 pick player, whoever it will be, will have to be the one that the Bobcats will market to everyone in the Carolinas. The one that will sell "JERSEYS"! If we miss on this pick, it would be more crucial than the Adam Morrison pick and will definitely hurt us more in the long run. MJ better not be sleeping from now till draft day! I don't care if he has to call up Charles Barkley and ask him who to take. Bc, last time Barkley's answer should've been who Jordan should've took.

With Davis gone, I see a big drop off in the big man prospects with Thomas Robinson and Andre Drummond. Any of those two could be potential stars in the NBA, but for now I hope the Bobcats take either Michael Kidd-gilchrist or Bradley Beal. Two potential scorers who could impact and be future NBA stars. We need offense! We need scorers! One of those two pair up with Kemba, and we'll have a really nice back court to watch every night. MKG is not as great of a range-shooter as Beal but his SIZE, attitude, and defense ability is too intriguing. Beal has great shooting ability, and many has compared him to Ray Allen, Wade, and Eric Gordon. Only if Beal was two more inches taller, I would be all over Beal already. We need that great scorer. Watching the playoffs this year, players like Westbrook, Wade, and Durant made shooting looks too easy. We need that type of a BALLER. But, what I'm trying to say is there's still hope for us to cheer about, or at least for me to get over this tragic fixed lottery loss by David Stern.

Many great NBA players that came through this league, or are still in the league weren't drafted no.1. To name a few current players: Garnett, Ray Allen, Carmelo, Wade, Peirce, Granger, Nash, Dirk, our very own Hornet's Kobe Bryant, and etc. weren't drafted no.1. So I think we should be able to find someone very special at no. 2 to build this team with. But, for now I'll be crossing my finger that we'll find an impact player for 2012. Not just that, starting with last year draftees of Kemba and Biyombo will have to pan out. If they do and we HIT JACKPOT this year, well be in great shape. We already know well be picking top 4-5 next year again, so a guy like Shabazz Muhammad, Zeller, or Noel will help solidfy us into the future of brightness for this franchise.

Let's go 2012 CHARLOTTE BOBCATS!!!!! and MJ if we have the chance to rebrand our name back to the HORNETS, you better do it!!!!! You will regret not to. I know I'll be buying apparels and attend games even if we sucks. Just let us have our name and culture back.

If they take beal, are they saying bye to Walker? I don't want them to take Beal man. I also want them to get rid of the Bobcat name, reminds me too much of Bob Johnson.

I think Beal is much more and a pure SG.

Kemba is a PG and much smaller who will only be able to play the PG position. IMO Kemba will be fine if we draft Beal. If both of them pans out, we got a deadly back court combo.

But if we wanna take chances on luck, take Gilchrist. Play him at SF and hope we get Shabazz next year. He's a lot bigger and better SG than Beal. Wouldnt it be nice.

And for the Bobcats name, I'm with you!

Im with many of those who thinks that the lotto last night was fixed, but of anything we should question if the name Bobcats was fixed. I swear it had to. There was no coincidence in the name BOB.

It was defnitely fixed. Stern should be sued and dethroned. That was complete and utter bullshit. Out of all the teams that could have won it. NO got it, I mean really? The one team that was owned by the NBA, that was just Bought by the Saints* owner? "We'll throw the #1 draft pick too if you buy the hornets." They better let Charlotte have its name back.

Portland owns the #6 and #11 picks maybe they throw in JJ Hickson what say you?

We could get Barnes or Drummond there in all likelihood at six, then maybe draft a big guy like Zeller or Sullinger or even a nice scorer like Austin Rivers at eleven?

I honestly think I would prefer that. If not Beal or MKG.

I like the Idea, butt how long are we going to have average players? We need a play maker/Star on this team. Will that be available at #6 and #11?

Also, wtf happened to the other first round pick from the portland trade?! I thought we had one more this year.

that was used last year- we had two to draft Bismack and Kemba

I agree with the average player comment, however the argument is that whoever we draft at number two will likely be pretty average. It's a tough cycle. I think I am officially in the MKG camp if we stay at #2

We should have 2 picks in next year's draft. Ours will go to the Bulls unless we draft in the top 13 (and we will, lol).

We'll get Portland's number one if they don't draft in the top 13...and they won't.

We're gonna suck big time again next year and have a top 4 pick. We'll add a shot at a decent player unless Portland

somehow implodes. Since we lost the Davis sweepstakes, it's important to realize we will suck almost as bad next year,

but then we get another shot at a franchise player.

Realizing that, we can take a chance on a project like Drummond, or secure a player who will compliment the team for 5 to 7 years. No game changers for us this year, so think towards building for the future.

I wouldn't mind that idea at all. Hickson is a young kid with big potential. And Cho has say that they will listen to trade offers until the draft day pick.
