No Anthony Davis For Charlotte, Now What?

MKG is my player here. ZERO questions about his motor and defensive ability. Scorers are easier to come by than players who can give you elite matchups and shut down the top players in the game, which is what MKG will be in a few years. Our defensive identity will continue to evolve with Bismack and MKG shutting down the post.

MKG would be the smartest pick. Drummond the second-smartest.

So the pick will be Barnes, or a trade-down for a second-round pick (that MJ will sell) and Marshall or Zeller. Gotta cheer up the UNC fans so average attendance will be 54, not 6.

Remember this is the team that signed Cory Higgins instead of a slew of better players, traded Gerald Wallace for nothing, drafted Morrison/May/Felton, hired a coach who fell asleep during a game and let his son do his job, paid Gana Diop and Matt Carroll Gerald Wallace money, and was named for its black supremacist owner.

Think of the dumbest decision they could make. It will soon be a reality.

MKG is a good choice but I think Robinson would be just as good if we are going SF/PF. He is good defensive player and rebounder as well as a scorer. The more I think about it I would work out Drummond and if he seems motivated to get better, I would choose him and suck for a year or two. If I wanted to be better next year I would pick Robinson or MKG.

I agree with everything Vagrant has said. With the number 2 pick, we are going to get a very good player. I was iffy on Davis all year, and I still am. I question his offensive skills, and what the Cats need more than anything is some scoring. It is glad to hear Davis really wanted to come here, though. Makes me believe Jordan and Cho will get some players here. Lol these players got some egos man. Most still view Jordan as an idol, and there will be some who jump at the chance of "saving the bobcats". Lol of course the money has to be right, though

Listening to Dan Patrick right now w/ Anthony Davis being interviewed

1. Davis said it was a Charlotte hornets hat he was wearing

2. Grew up a bulls & mj fan

3. His family is upset, especially his mother, that he will not be playing in Charlotte. He has many friends here( how he got the hornets hat) and has family here. Wanted to play for MJ.

4. Dan Patrick said it sounded like Davis was dissapointed he won't be playing for his idol in Charlotte

Man this has got to make it "sting" even more. What could of been.

PS like I said if you are a fan of the rebrand, not getting Davis was probably the best thing to happen for us.

If I'm MJ or the Bobcats FO hearing this I'm on the phone with New Orleans and trying to make those statements by Davis viral!

What do you trade along with the number two for Anthony Davis? I'd give them the pick our entire roster. We already are starting over so why not?

If Davis has publicly said he and his family wanted to be here what else do you need? Who else WANTS to play for the Bobcats? Nobody.

Go get your guy MJ.

Anthony Davis is an overrated by-product of ESPN. Just 1 year ago McAdoo was dominating him in the all-star games & Davis was being labeled a bust/overrated prospect. Losing out on him is a blessing in disguise much like when the Panthers lost out on Andrew Luck.

To win championships in the NBA you must have a superstar. Duncan, Kobe, Wade, Durant, LeBron, Rose etc. There isn't a single player in this draft with Davis or the previous 2 drafts with Wall & Irving who represent that. The next prospect who fills that role is Shabazz Mohammed. Jordan needs to take the risk needed & get Shabazz. Trade the #2 & Augustin to Washington for their 2013 #1. Next year you either win the lottery & get Shabazz or you have 3 top 10 picks, future 1st round picks, & players as trade bait to move up.

MKG would be nice, I wouldnt mind Robinson or Beal though. I'm not sure what everybody is freaking out about, this draft is very good and lets be honest, this team is headed for a top pick next year whether Davis was coming here or not. Davis is going to take some time adjusting to the NBA and he wont be making all star games and all-NBA teams right away.

Bobcats need to land a starter to help build the team, not a savior to single-handedly turn the team around

Once workouts start who knows what'll happen. Best case scenario is to work a trade with Portland. Man, Hornets get #1 and #9...good to be a fan of them now. Didn't someone the up getting a lottery pick for Gerald Wallace? The Cats gave hiim away didn't they?

This draft is basically Lebron James at #1 and Darko-fuging-Milicic as #2

That's how much of a dropoff between the top player and the second in this draft. Whoever this team chooses at #2 will be solely potential based, which fuging blows.

Drummond fits the bill.

This garbage is hilarious. Prior to the tournament, it wasn't even a slam dunk that Anthony Davis was going to be the first overall pick in his own draft class and now people are acting like we missed out on LeBron or Durant. It makes zero sense. Not saying that Davis will not be a good professional, he will, but don't act like he's a game changer when we don't even know if dude can score at the next level with any kind of consistency. The gap between picks 1, 2, and 3 are razor thin. We're going to get a damn good player regardless.

what? davis was talked about as the #1 pick long before the start of the tournament.

shabazz mohammed hasn't played ANY college ball and you're sitting here saying that he's a better prospect than davis/wall/irving? gtfo
