Smith And Lafell Starters At Wr

La Pantera

I fuging love David Gettis.

He will be the #3, and he will absolutely destroy in this offense.

No one knows how he will return. I don't think RR is putting too much pressure on him since it is possible he isn't fully back until next season.

He's looked fine in camp. I heard he's way ahead of schedule as far as healing goes, and we'll just have to wait till preseason to see his speed on display.

Rivera sees the potential in Gettis, especially in this new offense. If he was able to be productive with Moore/Clausen/St. Pierre, I'm sure he'll have a great season if he's able to stay healthy.

Imagine Gettis at #3 vs other teams versions of Cap'n Munnerlyns.... Yeah this offense is going to be scary. Double Smitty and leave LaFell or Gettis 1on1 against inferior DBs... Don't forget about Olsen. Use the Safeties in pure coverage? Well say hello to the formidable foursome that is our running game. fug yes!

I was out of the country in 2010 and did not get to see any games really. Gettis and Lafell were pretty much statistically the same with Gettis doing a large chunk of his production in one game. He lost a year and was injured but Lafell continued to progress. I'm surprised anyone would think Gettis would automatically be ahead in the depth chart.

Just curious because I don't know much about this kind of stuff, but do knee brace's inhibit a player's mobility? Or is it only going to prevent a knee/leg from shifting into unnatural positions?

It might slow him down a little with his quickness but as far as straight line speed go he should be fine

You mean in OTAs I assume. Well, it was already reported he's still having swelling issues so I don't know that he's way ahead of schedule.
